  • Publication number: 20100319818
Abstract: A method for fabricating a copper alloy. Cu and Cr, Zr, and Sn to be doped to the Cu are melt to cast a copper alloy material. Hot working is carried out on the copper alloy material to form a plate material having a rolled texture. Heat treatment is carried out on the plate material. Cold rolling with workability of 80% or more and less than 90% is carried out on the plate material after the heat treatment to form an intermediate plate material. Aging treatment is carried out on the intermediate plate material. Another cold rolling with workability of 20% to 40% is carried out as finish rolling on the intermediate plate material after the aging treatment step. The intermediate plate material after the finish rolling step is heated as stress relief annealing.

  • Patent number: 5890389
Abstract: A modified cross-section material having a thin part and a thick part in its widthwise direction is manufactured through a plurality of roll stages. Each rolling stage comprises of a set of a convex roll and a flat roll, wherein the convex roll has a convex part. The thin part is formed in accordance with the lengthwise expansion by the convex part of the convex roll, and the thick part is formed in accordance with the lengthwise expansion by a part other than the convex part of the convex roll.

  • Patent number: 5356665
Abstract: A pipe coated with a resin layer on the inner surface and a method for manufacturing the pipe. According to the method, a resin mixture including thermal melting fluoro resin and fluorine elastomer is applied to the inner surface of a pipe member. The resin mixture is thermally treated on the inner surface of the pipe member to form a mesh like pattern so that a resin layer of a predetermined stripping strength is obtained.

  • Patent number: 5317405
Abstract: In a display and image capture apparatus for a videophone or video teleconferencing system a half-transparent mirror array is disposed adjacent the display surface of a display and an image reflected by the half-transparent mirror array is captured by a video camera. The half-transparent mirror array is formed by a plurality of micro HMs arranged in the same plane at a predetermined inclination angle and reflects incident light from a subject toward the video camera.

  • Patent number: 5300966
Abstract: An original image is divided into a plurality of image parts in the forms of image signals which are then given to liquid crystal light valves, respectively so that liquid crystal light valves display the plurality of image parts therein. These liquid crystal light valves allow light from light sources to pass through so as to form image light beams which are intensity-modulated in accordance with the divided image parts. A plurality of mirrors reflect the image light beams and introduce them onto a projecting lens system. In this arrangement, the plurality of mirrors are located in such a way that their reflecting surfaces do not cross the optical axis of the projecting lens system, and the image light beams are synthesized on the screen so as to reproduce an original image. Accordingly, the pixel density of the original image can be multiplied by a multiplier which equal to the number of used liquid crystal light valves.

  • Patent number: 5133912
Abstract: A method of integrating first and second skins into a contiguous cover layer by: providing a first skin with a first surface to be exposed and an opposite backing surface, with the first skin having an offset edge defining a first corner with the exposed part of the first surface; providing a second skin with a second surface to be exposed and an opposite backing surface, with the second skin having an offset edge defining a second corner with the exposed part of the second surface; placing a mold element/partition between the first and second offset skin edges to maintain a space between at least a part of the first and second offset skin edges; pouring a flowable foundation material that will harden against the backing surfaces of the first and second skins so that the hardened foundation material exerts a force tending to urge the first and second corners towards each other; and removing the mold element/partition from between the first and second offset skin edges so that the space between the parts of th

  • Patent number: 4578979
Abstract: A method for producing a strip of material having a non-uniform cross section is carried out by passing a strip of material in the longitudinal direction through a first set of working rolls, at least one of which is provided with an annular slot intermediate the ends thereof so that a reducing force is applied only to those portions of the strip engaging said roll on opposite sides of the slot whereby the excess material flows toward that portion of the strip opposed to the slot to cause the strip to buckle outwardly into the slot. The strip is subsequently passed through a set of smooth rolls to flatten the buckled portion. This procedure is repeated any desired number of times with the width of the slot becoming progressively smaller. The strip may then be passed through one or more sets of finishing rolls and a heating and annealing operation can take place before each passage through a set of finishing rolls.
