  • Patent number: 8596092
Abstract: In a method of manufacturing a through electrode-attached glass substrate, electrode through holes and at least one dummy through hole are formed in a plate-shaped glass, and electrode members are inserted into the electrode through holes but not into the at least one dummy through-hole. The plate-shaped glass and the electrode members are welded by heating the plate-shaped glass at a temperature higher than a softening point of the plate-shaped glass so that the glass is allowed to flow into the at least one dummy through hole. Opposite surfaces of the plate-shaped glass are ground together with the electrode members so as to expose the electrode members to the opposite surfaces of the plate-shaped glass and to configure the electrode members as through electrodes that are electrically separated from each other.

  • Patent number: 8136015
Abstract: In the ordinary operation mode, a data storage apparatus writes data into a first flash memory, while writing ECC data, which is used for correcting the data written in the first flash memory, into a second flash memory. When there is no remaining storage space in the first flash memory, the data storage apparatus deletes existing ECC data previously written in the second flash memory and writes ordinary data into the second flash memory. This arrangement enhances the reliability of data and enables effective use of the original storage space in the system of data storage with multiple storage areas.

  • Publication number: 20100187932
Abstract: A disc driving device includes a rotor assembly including a cylindrical rotor frame, a magnet arranged inside the rotor frame concentrically therewith so as to form a cylindrical space, a shaft fixed at one end thereof with the center hole of the shaft holder formed at the rotation center of the rotor frame, and a bearing for supporting the rotor assembly. The center hole of the shaft holder includes a small-diameter portion at the bottom thereof in the axial direction of the shaft, and an inclined portion which is formed above the small-diameter portion in such a manner as to be tapered and expanded upward in the axial direction. The shaft holder and the shaft have a void therebetween, which is filled with ultraviolet curing adhesive so as to form an adhesive fastening portion.

  • Patent number: 6762685
Abstract: A wrist portable information apparatus has a case containing a circuit board having a wireless communication circuit for performing wireless communication and a voice processing circuit for performing voice processing. First and second straps are connected to the case to mount the case to a user's wrist. A speaker is disposed in one of the case and the first strap to output processed voice from the voice processing circuit, and a microphone is disposed in one of the case and the second strap to input voice to the voice processing circuit. A contact mechanism is provided with an electrically connected state which is changed in response to opening and closing of at least one of the first strap and the second strap. A detecting circuit detects opening and closing of the first strap or the second strap by detecting the connected state of the contact mechanism.

  • Patent number: 6510297
Abstract: An object of the invention is to provide a toner density sensor capable of detecting toner density with high accuracy without being affected by the temperature change. A light-emitting diode emits infrared light toward the toner attached to the surface of a photosensitive drum, and the infrared light reflected from the toner is received by a photodiode. An amplifier circuit for detecting color toner density and an amplifier circuit for detecting black toner density, of which both amplify outputs from the photodiode, each employ a thermister for the feedback resistance of the amplifier. An input resistance in the amplifier circuit and the thermister adjust the gain of the amplifier circuit so as to obtain optimal outputs.
