  • Patent number: 5519874
Abstract: A subscriber terminal service system, which has a switchboard connected to a plurality of subscriber terminals and a computer connected with the switchboard and executes services to subscribers, has the functions of setting a flag indicative of the possibility/impossibility of the execution of an application on the basis of a message sent from the computer, referring to the flag in response to a service request sent from the subscriber terminal to determine whether or not the execution of the requested application should be permitted, sending a control message to the switchboard when the condition of possibility/impossibility of the execution of an application on the computer, and changing the content of the flag in the switchboard on the basis of the control message. The start or stop of any application executed in the computer is made through a console device connected with the computer or by a scheduler provided in the computer.

  • Patent number: 5490135
Abstract: A method and system for arranging a common channel signal through an ISDN in a switching network. In the switching network, a signal is transferred between the switching stations in a common channel signalling manner. This method and system serves to allocate a signal path between the stations through the ISDN without having to provide a dedicated channel between the stations as a common channel signal path. Then, the method and system establishes a temporary connection between the stations through the ISDN using a channel in the ISDN (for example, D channel) used for controlling the call setup between the ISDN and a terminal and transfers a common channel signal between the stations by transferring transparent user information to the ISDN. In the common channel signal network in which a common channel signal is transferred through a leased line, the signal transfer is switched from the leased line to the ISDN when failure takes place in the common channel signal path.

  • Patent number: 5197096
Abstract: A switching system is provided in which when a calling subscriber has transmitted an identification (ID) number of a called subscriber and an ID number of the calling subscriber from a calling terminal to a switching equipment having a subscriber control table at the time of making a call, the switching equipment receives the ID numbers and connects the calling terminal with the called terminal.

  • Patent number: 5031211
Abstract: The communication system has a plurality of sub-networks, for example composed of transmission communication nodes, PBX communication notes, application communication nodes, and the like, respectively. Each of these sub-networks is managed by a management system, and all of the management systems are managed by an integrated management system. Each communication node is autonomously provided with the function of establishing an emergency routing as a first stage routing control on the occurrence of a failure in a circuit affecting the communication node. The autonomous routing is heirarchial with respect to node types. Failure and the influences of failure are reported to the sub-network management systems, which in turn can report to the integrated management system. As a second stage of routing control, one or more of the management systems establishes a global routing to replace the emergency local routing.

  • Patent number: 4985887
Abstract: A transmission procedure selecting system in a data communication network system which includes a plurality of terminals, an ISDN switching network which exchanges a plurality of circuit lines with the plurality of terminals, a communication control device connected with the ISDN switching network via a multiplexed interface for providing transmission control for data transmitted through the interface, the communication control device including a plurality of transmission control circuits connected with respective data channels in the multiplexed interface, and a central processing unit connected to the communication control device.

  • Patent number: 4955019
Abstract: A multimedia information exchanging system in a digital exchange network that has an exchange system in which channels are selectively assigned for communication among a plurality of subscribers. This system has many pieces of subscriber line terminating equipment each of which is provided on the subscriber side of each subscriber line and which connects at least one terminal device to the subscriber line through subchannels.

  • Patent number: 4837816
Abstract: In a telephone switching apparatus having an inter-office interface consisting of a plurality of communication circuits having different priorities and a control line for transfer of call control signals, a first circuit having the highest priority is hunted from the idle one of said communication circuits upon setting of a call and the communication is started. During the communication, if a second circuit having a higher priority than that of the first circuit becomes idle, by communicating a control signal to switch the circuit between the switching apparatuses, the busy circuit for the call is switched from the first circuit of a low priority to the second circuit of a high priority.
