  • Publication number: 20100172229
Abstract: In a drawing method and device, an electron beam is radiated to a surface of an object to draw a pattern along scan lines on the surface of the object. A pattern is drawn along the scan lines on the surface of the object by the electron beam through relative movement of the object relative to the electron beam. The electron beam is deflected at a speed that does not cause a pattern to be formed on the object surface, in one of a first direction intersecting the scan lines and a second direction opposite to the first direction, without performing blanking of the electron beam, so that a beam spot of the deflected electron beam is positioned to one of the scan lines on the object surface. The drawing step and the deflecting step are repeated alternately.

  • Patent number: 6064396
Abstract: The current methods and systems for correcting image information improve input and output characteristics. Although .gamma. correction curves have been used in prior art, the current invention allows more refined control in the correction process without additional parameters or hardware. The refined control includes adjustments at a localized area of the correction curve, an efficient conversion between a standard range value and a device-dependent value, a color-specific correction and a flexible user interface. Furthermore, the above described advantages are provided on demand rather than storing the pre-calculated information.

  • Patent number: 5982379
Abstract: A system for and a method visualizes a color system for specifying a portable color system representation. The portable color system representation does not require a large table or a large amount of calculation. The same system and the method allows the user to interactively edit each of color components of a given color system so as to generate a portable color system framework representation between unrelated devices whose input and output ranges are different.

  • Patent number: 5717497
Abstract: An image-data transmitter, applicable to a FAX and an image file apparatus, receives image data including a plurality of image-data portions, and identifies the image data for each image-data portion so as to detect a kind of image data for each image-data portion, such as a binary image and a multilevel image. Then the image-data transmitter codes the image data for each image-data portion in accordance with a coding scheme corresponding to the kind of image data of the image-data portion. Thus, a coding efficiency and an image quality of a restored image are not so much degraded.

  • Patent number: 5642439
Abstract: A digital image processing method includes first through fifth steps. The first step is providing a first matrix pattern having a plurality of threshold values stored in a storage memory. The second step is defining a size of each of second matrix patterns based on a predetermined area of the first matrix pattern. The first matrix pattern is composed of the second matrix patterns each of which includes a partial set of the threshold values and has the defined size so that a line density of an output image is determined. The third step is reading two or more threshold values of one of a plurality of basic matrix patterns from the storage memory at specified addresses. Each second matrix pattern is composed of the basic matrix patterns each of which has two or more threshold values and corresponds to one pixel. The fourth step is comparing the digital image data relating to one pixel with the threshold values of the basic matrix pattern to produce a multilevel image signal based on the comparison result.

  • Patent number: 5640653
Abstract: An image synthesizing system is provided which uses an intermediate transfer belt on which a plurality of toner images are superimposed. The image synthesizing system is used for an image processing apparatus which forms a toner image on a recording sheet by using an electro-photographic method. The image synthesizing system comprises a photosensitive drum on which the toner image is formed and an intermediate transfer belt which makes contact with the photosensitive drum so that the toner image formed on the photosensitive drum is transferred onto the intermediate transfer belt. A plurality of toner images are formed on the intermediate transfer belt, each of the toner images being formed on the photosensitive drum in accordance with image data obtained from different image data sources, the toner images being transferred onto the intermediate transfer belt one after another. A command ejection mode can be set by an operator in which an additional image will be superimposed on a first superimposed image.
