Abstract: This invention provides an aqueous organosilicon resin coating composition comprising:(I) an aqueous organosilicon resin which is a condensation product and which contains a quaternary ammonium base, the condensation product being prepared from (i) an organosilicon compound represented by the formulaR.sup.1.sub.a Si(OR.sup.2).sub.4-a (A)wherein R.sup.1 is hydrocarbon group having 1 to 12 carbon atoms, R.sup.2 is hydrocarbon group having 1 to 8 carbon atoms and a is 0, 1 or 2, and/or a low condensate thereof and (ii) an organosilicon compound represented by the formula ##STR1## wherein R.sup.3 is hydrogen atom or methyl group, R.sup.4 is bivalent hydrocarbon group having 1 to 8 carbon atoms and R.sup.2 is as defined above, and/or a low condensate thereof and,(II) an aqueous medium.

Abstract: Disclosed is a composition curable at a low temperature and characterized in that the composition comprises:(a) a nonaqueous dispersion of a particulate polymer insoluble in an organic liquid and prepared by polymerizing a radical-polymerizable unsaturated monomer in the organic liquid in the presence of a dispersion stabilizer resin, the stabilizer resin being at least one of a copolymer comprising as its monomer components an oxirane-containing vinyl monomer and an alkoxysilane-containing vinyl monomer and a vinyl copolymer comprising as its monomer components a polysiloxane macromonomer and an oxirane-containing vinyl monomer,(b) a chelate compound admixed with a nonaqueous dispersion.

Abstract: A vehicle composition for coating materials is disclosed. The vehicle composition includes an organic liquid, finely divided particles of a vinyl polymer dispersed in the organic liquid and a polymer of alkoxysiloxane having an alkoxy group of 3 to 5 carbon atoms dissolved in the organic liquid. The vehicle composition is prepared by polymerizing at least one vinyl monomer in the organic liquid which has the alkoxysiloxane polymer dissolved therein, the organic liquid being capable of dissolving the vinyl monomer but incapable of dissolving the vinyl polymer obtained therefrom.

Abstract: Disclosed is a curable composition characterized in that the composition comprises:(i) 100 parts by weight of a polymer mixture of(a) about 5 to about 95% by weight of a polymer (X) containing a specific polysiloxane macromonomer as an essential monomer or a polymer (Y) containing a specific alkoxysilane-containing vinyl monomer as an essential monomer, and(b) about 95 to about 5% by weight of a polymer (Z) containing an epoxy-containing vinyl monomer as an essential monomer; and(ii) about 0.01 to about 30 parts by weight of at least one chelate compound selected from the group consisting of aluminum chelate compound, titanium chelate compound and zirconium chelate compound.

Abstract: Disclosed is a resin composition curable at a low temperature and characterized in that the composition comprises:(a) at least one of a copolymer comprising as its monomer components an oxirane-containing vinyl monomer and an alkoxysilane-containing vinyl monomer and a vinyl copolymer comprising at its monomer components a polysiloxane macromonomer and an oxirane-containing vinyl monomer,(b) a chelate compound, and(c) a compound having a number average molecular weight of up to about 1,000 and containing at least two alicyclic oxirane groups in the molecule.

Abstract: This invention provides a resin composition curable at a low temperature and characterized in that the composition comprises:(a) a copolymer prepared from a polysiloxane macromonomer and an epoxy-containing monomer both containing ethylenically unsaturated groups,the polysiloxane macromonomer being prepared by reacting 70 to 99.999 mole % of a compound (A) represented by the formula ##STR1## wherein R.sub.1 is an aliphatic hydrocarbon group having 1 to 8 carbon atoms or phenyl, and R.sub.2, R.sub.3 and R.sub.4 are each alkoxyl having 1 to 4 carbon atoms or hydroxyl with 30 to 0.001 mole % of a compound (B) represented by the formula ##STR2## wherein R.sub.5 is a hydrogen atom or methyl, R.sub.6, R.sub.7 and R.sub.8 are each hydroxyl, alkoxyl having 1 to 4 carbon atoms or an aliphatic hydrocarbon group having 1 to 8 carbon atoms, at least one of R.sub.6, R.sub.7 and R.sub.

Abstract: The present invention provides a curable composition characterized in that the composition comprises a copolymer comprising as monomer components an oxirane-containing vinyl monomer and a specific alkoxysilane-containing vinyl monomer, and as a crosslinking curing agent at least one of an aluminum chelate compound and a zirconium chelate compound having neither of hydroxyl and alkoxyl directly combined with zirconium. The invention also provides a curing method characterized in that the composition is cured at a temperature of up to 100.degree. C. in the presence of water.
