    Abstract: This invention provides an aqueous organosilicon resin coating composition comprising:(I) an aqueous organosilicon resin which is a condensation product and which contains a quaternary ammonium base, the condensation product being prepared from (i) an organosilicon compound represented by the formulaR.sup.1.sub.a Si(OR.sup.2).sub.4-a (A)wherein R.sup.1 is hydrocarbon group having 1 to 12 carbon atoms, R.sup.2 is hydrocarbon group having 1 to 8 carbon atoms and a is 0, 1 or 2, and/or a low condensate thereof and (ii) an organosilicon compound represented by the formula ##STR1## wherein R.sup.3 is hydrogen atom or methyl group, R.sup.4 is bivalent hydrocarbon group having 1 to 8 carbon atoms and R.sup.2 is as defined above, and/or a low condensate thereof and,(II) an aqueous medium.

    Abstract: A vehicle composition for coating materials is disclosed. The vehicle composition includes an organic liquid, finely divided particles of a vinyl polymer dispersed in the organic liquid and a polymer of alkoxysiloxane having an alkoxy group of 3 to 5 carbon atoms dissolved in the organic liquid. The vehicle composition is prepared by polymerizing at least one vinyl monomer in the organic liquid which has the alkoxysiloxane polymer dissolved therein, the organic liquid being capable of dissolving the vinyl monomer but incapable of dissolving the vinyl polymer obtained therefrom.

    Abstract: The present invention provides a curable composition characterized in that the composition comprises a copolymer comprising as monomer components an oxirane-containing vinyl monomer and a specific alkoxysilane-containing vinyl monomer, and as a crosslinking curing agent at least one of an aluminum chelate compound and a zirconium chelate compound having neither of hydroxyl and alkoxyl directly combined with zirconium. The invention also provides a curing method characterized in that the composition is cured at a temperature of up to 100.degree. C. in the presence of water.
