  • Publication number: 20190008095
Abstract: A method for mass-producing plants includes a step of accommodating a liquid cultivation medium and a plant material into each of a plurality of culture bags that are configured so as to be capable of standing up without assistance by being opened up from a folded state, sealing openings of the culture bags, and arranging the sealed culture bags in a row in a predetermined cultivation space, and a step of cultivating the plant material within each of the plurality of culture bags with an interior of each of the plurality of culture bags arranged in a row in the cultivation space being maintained at an environment appropriate for cultivation of the plant material.

  • Publication number: 20140134735
Abstract: The present invention addresses the problem of providing a plant cell differentiation promoter with which it is possible to promote differentiation from a callus to a normal adventitious embryo, or promote differentiation of an adventitious root or adventitious bud from a plant cutting, and as a result, obtain a regenerated plant with stability. The present invention provides a plant differentiation promoter comprising as the active ingredient a specific ketole fatty acid or derivative thereof.

  • Publication number: 20090111182
Abstract: A novel method is provided, which makes it possible to perform mass propagation of a plant of the family Araceae, the family Bromeliaceae, or the family Marantaceae. Specifically, a method for producing an embryogenic callus, comprising culturing a leaf sheath or a part thereof of a plant selected from the group consisting of the family Araceae, the family Bromeliaceae, and the family Marantaceae as an explant and then inducing an embryogenic callus and a propagation method comprising regenerating a plant through induction of a somatic embryo from the embryogenic callus obtained by the above method are also provided herein.

  • Patent number: 5862626
Abstract: This invention provides a process for easy and large-scale production of tubers from plants belonging to the genus Solanum, wherein the improvement resides in that tubers are formed with high efficiency by exposing stolons and shoots, elongated in a liquid phase under a carbon dioxide-applied condition during light periods in a shoot propagation step, to a gaseous phase in a subsequent tuber formation step, and that tubers are formed in a large number not only in a boundary medium surface area but also in a gaseous phase area distant from the medium surface by culturing the stolons and shoots during the tuber formation step in a culture jar with aeration of the gaseous phase. By employing such culture steps and conditions, tuber forming efficiency and quality of the produced tubers are improved.

  • Patent number: 5413929
Abstract: The present invention relates to a process for producing plantlets using plant tissue culture techniques. The object of the invention is to provide a process which enables simple, highly reproducible and efficient production of seedlings in a large scale. The feature of the invention comprises culturing a root as an explant in a liquid medium containing at least inorganic salts, a carbon source and an auxin to induce the formation of a cell mass, and culturing the resultant cell mass in a redifferentiation medium containing at least inorganic salts and a carbon source, to produce plantlets.
