    Abstract: A photosensitive material processing apparatus feeds an elongated film, which is wound on a spool shaft, out from an entrance/exit opening of a film accommodating container, and carries out developing processing of the film. The photosensitive material processing apparatus includes a loading section in which the film accommodating container which accommodates the film is loaded; a feeder which feeds the film out from the film accommodating container loaded in the loading section, in a state in which one longitudinal direction end of the film is anchored to the spool shaft of the film accommodating container; and a processing tank which is sheath-shaped and whose length is longer than a length of a portion of the film which portion is to be processed and which portion has been fed out to an exterior of the film accommodating container, the processing tank having at only one longitudinal direction end portion a film entrance/exit opening through which the film enters and exits.

    Abstract: An image of an object is fixed on a color negative film, the object image on the film is converted into an analog signal for each pixel by use of a scanner, and the analog signal is output to a demodulation processing section. The demodulation processing section demodulates color information of the object from the analog signal and outputs the same to an image processing section. The image processing section subjects the color information to an aesthetic color correction process, if necessary, and displays an image having substantially the same color as that of the object on a color CRT. Further, an output circuit receives the color information from the image processing section, subjects the same to a preset process so as to create a color dye signal indicating the densities of color materials and outputs the color dye signal to a color printer. The color printer creates an image on a medium based on the color dye signal.

    Abstract: An apparatus for manufacturing a spring unit used for mattresses and the like is provided with a first unit for forming coiled springs sequentially out of a single wire and shaping the spring wires by arranging these coiled springs in a lateral row so that side limbs of the coiled springs are adjacent to each other, and a second unit extending across the spring wires and adapted to shape helical wires wound around the side arms of the spring wires so that the helical wires extend across the side limbs. The second unit is provided with a helical wire shaping device which includes a feeding mechanism and another mechanism for forming the straight wire fed from the feeding mechanism into the helical wires and a third mechanism for adjusting a pitch of the helical wires. The second unit is also provided with a device for supplying the helical wires while measuring and controlling the length of the helical wires in such a manner that this length substantially agrees with the width of the spring wires.

    Abstract: A can end double-seaming machine has a housing in which a shaft is rotatably supported. The shaft with a seaming cam lever mounted is pressed downwardly by a presser against the bias of a spring until the lower surface of the seaming cam lever is held against the upper surface of the housing. Then, an annular spacer is fitted over the lower end portion of the shaft underneath, with the tubular support held against a neck of the shaft. A seaming roll lever is then mounted on the lower end portion of the shaft. The presser is deactivated to release the shaft, which is lifted together with the seaming cam lever, the annular spacer, and the seaming roll lever under the bias of the spring until the marginal portion of the annular spacer abuts against the lower surface of the housing. The tubular support enters the housing by a distance corresponding to a predetermined clearance. The seaming cam lever and the housing are now spaced from each other by the predetermined clearance.

    Abstract: A can end double-seaming machine has a seaming head vertically movably mounted on a base and supporting a seaming chuck and a seaming roll. The seaming head is guided for its vertical movement by support posts on the base. Rotors are rotatably threaded on the support posts and rotatable by a motor for lifting and lowering the seaming head. A controller controls the motor to elevate the seaming head upwardly of a predetermined seaming position, then lower the seaming head downwardly of the seaming position, and thereafter elevate the seaming head to the seaming position, thereby positioning the seaming head in the seaming position. Since the seaming head is lowered downwardly of the seaming position and then lifted back to the seaming position, the seaming head is reliably and accurately be brought into the seaming position without a positional error which would otherwise be caused by the backlash between the rotors and the support posts.

The cleaning chamber is equipped with vapor supply means capable of supplying the vapor only during the cleaning operation and with vapor collecting means, including cooling coils that are lowered to condense the vapor, for collecting the vapor after the cleaning operation. In one embodiment, this organic solvent cleaning apparatus has a vertically movable cover which in its descended position surrounds a material to be cleaned and creates a seal with a reservoir of liquid solvent at its lower end to prevent supplied vapor from leaking out.
