    Abstract: The present invention realizes a high-precision positioning with high stability, by fully utilizing a Bingham fluid characteristic possessed by an ERF (electro-rheological fluid). To this end, motion of a driving part is transmitted to a movable part via shearing stress of the ERF. Since the shearing stress can be variably controlled by adjusting an electric field to be applied to the ERF, the movable part can be moved to a target position by a predetermined output. When the movable part is to be stopped, the driving part is decelerated and stopped to thereby thermally dissipate an excessive kinetic energy of the movable part. By keeping on applying an electric field at the time of stopping, the movable part is exerted with an infinite apparent viscous stress by virtue of the Bingham fluid characteristic, to thereby suppress an influence of an external force.

    Abstract: The present invention relates to a safety ensuring apparatus for ensuring the safety of an operator.A mechanical moving part is surrounded by a safety enclosure with a door of the safety enclosure provided with a door lock device constructed such that the door lock device releases a door lock when a current is supplied from outside to excite a solenoid incorporated therein. The apparatus is constructed such that a lock is released when the mechanical moving part is stopped. Moreover, the construction incorporates a moving part monitoring sensor which monitors if the mechanical moving part is stopped. When mechanical moving part is stopped, the moving part monitoring sensor generates, without a negative operation, an output signal of logic value 1 corresponding to a high energy condition, and the solenoid of the door lock device is excited by this output signal.As a result, the lock of the door lock device is released once the mechanical moving part has stopped.

    Abstract: A coil-winding machine is disclosed in which an annular member on which wire is to be wound is inserted into a traveling ring and a shuttle and held in position. A predetermined length of wire is stored in the shuttle. The trialing end of the wire stored in the shuttle is fixed on the annular member. The shuttle is rotated in the direction of storage, while at the same time rotating the traveling ring in the direction of storage by the tension of the wire or a turning effort transmitted from a driving system, thus winding the wire on the annular member in the direction of storage. After forming a crossover wire, the wire is fixed on the annular member. The traveling ring is rotated in the direction opposite to that of storage.
