  • Patent number: 6328395
Abstract: Drive signal generating means generates a drive signal including a plural number of drive pulses during one period. Print data generating means generates print data to input one or a plural number of the drive pulses to each pressure generating element during one print period. The pressure generating means expands and contracts in accordance with the drive pulses input thereto, to thereby cause the ejection of an ink droplet or droplets.

  • Publication number: 20010022595
Abstract: An ink jet recording apparatus is operated under a basic recording mode for recording through use of a basic unit pixel which is associated with a unit recording area corresponding to a unit print cycle, and a high-resolution recording mode for recording through use of a fine unit pixel, a plurality of fine unit pixels being arranged within the unit recording area in a main scanning direction of the recording head. The print data is developed into the jetting data such that each bit therein indicates whether the recording is conducted or not in each associated fine unit pixel, when the high-resolution recording mode is selected.

  • Patent number: 5081608
Abstract: A data processing apparatus for processing data structured as records, each record including a number of fields. The processing consists of replacing the contents of specific fields in specific records. The apparatus has a memory for storing a record to be processed, a memory for storing data to be used in replacement processing, a register for storing information designating specific record fields to be processed, and a control section for successively reading out the stored record fields. As each field is read out, either the field data or the replacement data are transferred as output data from the apparatus, in accordance with the corresponding information in the aforementioned register.
