  • Patent number: 8801280
Abstract: A temperature measuring method using a temperature probe in which a temperature-sensitive magnetic substance having an arbitrary Curie point is arranged in a portion to be measured. A magnetic field is generated from a magnetic field generation source disposed at a position away from the portion to be measured. A change of the magnetic flux vector of the magnetic field depending on the temperature of the temperature-sensitive magnetic substance is detected by a magnetic sensor to measure the temperature of the portion to be measured, thereby the temperature of the portion to be measured can be wirelessly measured from the position away from the portion to be measured and the reduction in size can be easy.

  • Patent number: 4394048
Abstract: An interlocking mechanism of both-side lock recliner for an automotive seat which has an interlocking mechanism for simultaneously controlling the lock and the release of right and left engaging mechanisms mounted at both sides of the seat and including right and left manipulating levers, auxiliary levers provided symmetrically at both sides of the seat, and an interlocking rod including hook formed at both ends thereof for engaging between the auxiliary levers of both sides. Thus, the interlocking mechanism can exactly transmit the manipulating force of the handle in the engaging portion between the interlocking rod end and the member engaged with the interlocking rod end without enhancing the dimensional accuracy.

  • Patent number: 4162807
Abstract: A vehicle seat of the type having a seat back with a plurality of transverse serpentine springs therein is provided with a regulating apparatus for adjusting the firmness of the lower most springs to adjust the firmness of the seat back in the lumbar region. A torsion spring is wrapped about a vertically extending post in the lower corner of the seat back with the ends thereof operatively engaged with a lumbar plate engaging the seat spring adjacent the lower center portion of the seat back and with an intermediate portion of the spring extending outwardly from the post in engagement with a rotatable cam having surfaces of different radii engagable with the intermediate portion of the spring to vary the force of the torsion spring on the seat spring.

  • Patent number: 4094489
Abstract: In an automobile seat assembly comprising a rail provided on a body floor, a bracket slidably mounted on the rail and carrying a seat, a pair of locking elements mounted on the bracket and resiliently biased into locking engagement with the rail, an adjusting lever mounted on the bracket for swinging movement about an axis, and a pair of outrigger elements mounted on said lever for swinging movement about a second axis. Actuation of the lever in one direction causes disengagement of one of the locking elements and one of the outrigger elements from the rail, the other outrigger element functioning as a fulcrum member for supporting the second axis against displacement whereby the first axis and therefore the bracket are displaced with respect to the rail.

  • Patent number: 3931996
Abstract: A two part hinge fitting especially adapted for motor vehicle seats of the type characterized by a fixed hinge member fixedly connected to the seat and a tiltable hinge member fixedly connected to the seat back being articulatedly connected to each other and including releasable locking means comprising a gear sector and a pawl, which upon being released, will permit free tilting of the tiltable hinge member and the seat back connected thereto relative to the fixed hinge member connected to the actual seat portion. The pivot means articulatedly connecting the two hinge members occupies a position away from the rear end of the seat and is biased toward the front end of the seat or toward the uppermost end of the backrest so that a larger radius of the sector gear may be designedly provided for reinforcement of the mechanism than that of previous fittings without any fear that the sector gear of such larger radius will obstruct the passenger when leaving the seat.
