  • Patent number: 4149793
Abstract: A roll film camera of the type in which the exposed film must be rewound onto a supply reel within a magazine before the back cover of the camera is opened to remove the magazine from its chamber within the camera body. As a rewinding crank is operated by hand, when the film nears the terminal end as detected by a probe extending into the transport path of the film, motion of the handcrank begins to be transmitted to an operating member for controlling a locking and unlocking operation of the back cover. It is thereby insured that the film is protected from fogging when the magazine is removed. Even with a camera having a motor drive unit, it is possible to leave the film unrewound protruding from the magazine by a limited terminal length which provides for easy handling of the film in the later processing operation.

  • Patent number: 4146317
Abstract: An exposure control apparatus operating with selection of the diaphragm preselection and shutter preselection automatic exposure control modes is provided with first and second signal shapers arranged to cooperate with a lens aperture mechanism through a common intermediate member. Upon setting of a desired diaphragm value in the lens aperture mechanism, the intermediate member is driven along with the first signal shaper in exactly corresponding relation.

  • Patent number: 4145011
Abstract: A device for releasing a film wind-up mechanism used for winding up film by driving a sprocket which is interlocked with a film wind-up means. The device is provided with a means for releasing the sprocket and the film wind-up mechanism from their states of being interlocked with each other when a preset number of film frames have been wound up.

  • Patent number: 4121231
Abstract: An exposure factor setting device for a photographic camera comprising manually adjustable shutter speed and diaphragm aperture setting components, an indicator cooperative with a shutter speed scale and capable of responding to either of the outputs of the shutter speed setting component and an exposure value computer, and first and second gates connected respectively between the shutter speed setting component and the indicator and between the computer and the indicator and arranged to be acted on alternately in sequence by a common pulse generator. When the previously selected combination of shutter speed and diaphragm aperture is not correct in conformity with the prevailing scene brightness, the indicator is caused to flicker between two positions for the automatic and manual shutter speed values.

  • Patent number: 4096499
Abstract: In a reflex camera a mirror support is composed of a base with flexible members and arms carried by the base. Each arm has one end bendable to position the mirror on the base, while the other end forms a stop to restrict movement of the mirror. The arms also have axle bearing support for positioning the base relative to the light path and the reflective plane of the mirror. The flexible members of the base are adhesively coated for holding the mirror in position relative to the light path.

  • Patent number: 4096493
Abstract: A photographic camera having a manually and automatically adjustable diaphragm is provided with an electromagnetically operated diaphragm scanning mechanism in combination with a manually operable depth of field pre-viewing device to enable a visual determination of the utilizable zone of sharpness in a reflex viewfinder of the camera regardless of the fact that the camera remains in the run down position. For this purpose, the diaphragm scanning mechanism includes a scanning member and a driving member arranged to establish driving connection therebetwen during the automatic adjustment of the diaphragm. Release means is provided and is responsive to the termination of closing operation of the camera shutter for effecting release of the driving connection, whereby the photographer before cocking the camera is enabled to manipulate the diaphragm followed by the pre-viewing device to read off the range of sharpness in dependence on the manual setting of the diaphragm for use in making a subsequent exposure.

  • Patent number: 4089011
Abstract: The present invention relates to an exposure information setting device for a camera having a digital control system in which the aperture value of the lens is applied to the exposure amount control circuit as digital information by means of the aperture value setting mechanism. The device is so designed that the first comb tooth shaped conductor pattern and the second comb tooth shaped conductor pattern are arranged in parallel with each other in such a manner that a phase difference takes place between them. A pair of series of pulses are obtained by making the contact in functional engagement with the aperture value setting operation, moving slidingly over the first and the second conductor patterns. The direction along which the aperture value information varies is detectable by applying the pair of series of pulses thus obtained to the exposure operational circuit through the phase sorting circuit.

  • Patent number: 3999197
Abstract: A film rewinding device for a camera using a motor for rewinding film. Upon completion of film rewinding, the device automatically stops the film rewinding operation with detecting means disposed in the device to detect the completion of film rewinding. This is done by utilizing the difference between the load on the motor during the rewinding operation and the load at the completion of the rewinding operation.
