  • Publication number: 20030026936
Abstract: An optical disk substrate having excellent replication and releasability at the time of molding, little warpage and high strength. The optical disk substrate is made from a hydrogenated styrene polymer having a nuclearly hydrogenated styrene polymer unit content of 80 wt % or more and a reduced viscosity (in toluene, 0.5 dl/g, 30° C.) of 0.3 to 0.6 dl/g and has a shrinkage factor of 4.5% or less in a radial direction at the glass transition temperature of the above hydrogenated styrene polymer. The hydrogenated styrene polymer comprises 80 wt % or more of a nuclearly hydrogenated styrene polymer unit suitable for the production of this optical disk substrate and has a glass transition temperature of 130° C. or more and a relaxation spectrum at 20° C.

  • Patent number: 6428644
Abstract: An apparatus and a process for producing a laminate for electronic parts such as ceramic capacitors. After a predetermined pattern for forming an internal conductive layer is formed on a self-supporting green sheet which contains inorganic powder and an organic binder, the self-supporting green sheet is taken up by a columnar roll and laminated. At this point, the position of the same pattern on the green sheet G2 of the next cycle to be laminated adjacently onto the green sheet G1 of the previous cycle as the above pattern with respect to the predetermined pattern on the green sheet G1 taken up by the columnar roll is determined.

  • Patent number: 5849822
Abstract: A thermoplastic resin composition having transparency and antistatic properties, comprising 100 parts by weight of a thermoplastic resin (A) having a refractive index of 1.52 to 1.61 and a haze of 40 or less, and 5 to 40 parts by weight of a polyetherester (B) which has a sulfonate group and a polyalkylene oxide group, and is substantially immiscible with the thermoplastic resin (A), the difference in refractive index between the thermoplastic resin (A) and the polyetherester (B) being 0.04 or less. The thermoplastic resin composition has a haze of 40% or less and a surface resistivity of 1.times.10.sup.10 to 1.times.10.sup.14 ohm/square.

  • Patent number: 5651926
Abstract: A method for preventing the emission of fluorescence from polyalkylenenaphthalene-2,6-dicarboxylate, including mixing polyalkylenenaphthalene-2,6-dicarboxylate and at least one compound selected from cyclic imino esters and quinoxalines. The above cyclic imino esters and quinoxalines have an absorption intensity E, defined by the following expression: ##EQU1## wherein A is an absorbance measured in 1,1,2,2-tetrachloroethane at a concentration c (g/100 ml) and an optical path d (cm),of more than 200 at an ultraviolet wavelength range of 340 to 400 nm. And when a coating layer containing at least one ultraviolet absorber is formed on the surface of a molded article made of the above fluorescence-emission preventive mixture, a synergistic suppression of the emission of fluorescence can be obtained.

  • Patent number: 5300621
Abstract: An aromatic polyester:(1) consisting essentially of a polymer unit A of the formula (1), ##STR1## a polymer unit B of the formula (2), ##STR2## and a polymer unit C of the formula (3), ##STR3## the above polymer units being bonded together forming ester linkages in a polymer chain,(2) the polymer unit C being contained in an amount of 10 to 35 mol % based of the total amount of the polymer units B and C,(3) the polyester being semicrystalline,(4) the polyester having an inherent viscosity, measured in a phenol/1,1,2,2-tetrachloroethane mixed solvent (weight ratio=60/40) at 35.degree. C., of at least 0.3; a process for its production; and a resin composition containing it.
