  • Patent number: 4524494
Abstract: A detachable fastener comprises a central shank provided at one end thereof with a head portion and at the other end thereof with leg pieces of the shape of legs of an anchor movably connected through respective hinges to the aforementioned other end, and a receiving part adapted to receive external force and formed as connected to the leading ends of the leg pieces projected from the aforementioned other end of the central shank. In this fastener, the receiving part on receiving an external force causes the leg pieces to be bent about the hinges and the free ends of the leg pieces to be converged.

  • Patent number: 4513473
Abstract: An oil type damper comprises a rotor provided with a toothed wheel and a boss, a base seat provided with a tubular part adapted to be fitted to the boss of the rotor and a shaft adapted to be inserted into the interior of the rotor, and an oil sealer element adapted to be set in position in the interior of the rotor in an unrotatable state relative to the shaft of the base seat. The open edge of the sealer element is folded back and held in fast contact with the inner surface of the boss of the rotor to provide prevention of leakage of the oil interposed between the rotor and the sealer element even when the oil is thermally expanded.

  • Patent number: 4490886
Abstract: A plastic binder for binding lines, rods, or tubes into a tight bundle comprises a binding band and a buckle formed at one end of the binding band and provided therein with a slit for insertion of the other end of the binding band. The operability of this binder is notably improved by a pendant portion which is provided in the portion of the binding band between the buckle and an engaging member for fast attachment of the binder to a panel and which is adapted so that the lowermost portion thereof falls below the lower end of the buckle. When the binder is provisionally attached to the panel, the pendant portion causes the buckle to rise amply from the panel surface and facilitates the insertion of the band into the buckle.

  • Patent number: 4468836
Abstract: A damper for the door of a cassette housing in a cassette tape recorder is formed by unrotatably inserting a resisting member provided with radially extended vanes around a support shaft protuberating from a base plate and setting the resisting member within a cup-shaped rotary member thereby allowing the vanes to slide frictionally on the inner wall surface of the rotary member. This damper is mounted in the machine proper of the recorder by fastening the resisting member to the machine proper through the medium of the fitting member and pivotally attaching the door to the rotary member by utilization of a rack and pinion. The opening and closing motion of the door is braked by the frictional slide of the resisting member on the inner wall surface of the rotary member. Thus, the shocks and vibration produced by the opening and closing motion of the door are abated.

  • Patent number: 4462630
Abstract: An ashtray device comprises an ashtray unit, a housing for accommodating the ashtray unit, energizing means disposed within the housing for energizing the ashtray unit in the direction of being opened, retaining means for keeping the ashtray unit in a closed state, and means for releasing the retaining means from the outside. By building the ashtray device into the dashboard of an automobile, for example, a driver is relieved of special care and allowed to devote all his attention to the operation of his automobile even during the use of the ashtray unit.

  • Patent number: 4438552
Abstract: A plastic fastener comprises an insertion leg of the general shape of the letter V, a pair of flange pieces disposed at the free ends of the insertion leg, and a pair of head pieces extended upwardly from the respective flange pieces. This fastener assumes its complete state by causing the head pieces to be twisted sidewise and moved past each other and subsequently allowing the rear edges of the head pieces to abut against each other. Two plates can be attached fast to each other simply by inserting the combined head portion of the fastener into the perforation formed in advance in one of the two plates and forcing the insertion leg into the perforation formed in advance in the other plate. Desired separation of the insertion leg from the latter plate is accomplished by moving the rear edges of the head pieces apart from each other.

  • Patent number: 4426181
Abstract: A binder for panels comprises a main binder part and a wedge member so constructed that the forced insertion of the wedge member into the main binder part causes the split portions formed in the main binder part to spread out and the expansion of the split portions serves to fasten two panels to each other. Into the main binder part set in the perforations formed in advance in the panels, the wedge member can be inserted from either of the outer surfaces of the two panels.

  • Patent number: 4342135
Abstract: The movement of a lid such as for a cassette holder in a cassette tape recorder is moderated by a device comprising only two component parts. At least one disc which is interlocked with a roller held in frictional engagement with part of the lid is contained together with damping oil within a housing composed of a pair of halved portions connected to each other through the medium of a hinge. The moderation of the lid movement is accomplished by the damping oil functioning to slow the rotation of the roller.
