  • Patent number: 8884846
Abstract: A transparent drying material is applied on an inner side of a translucent glass substrate, which is arranged to face a sealing glass substrate whereupon an organic light emitting element is formed, and the sealing glass substrate and the translucent glass substrate are sealed. A polarizing film is arranged on an outer side of the transparent glass substrate. Luminance nonuniformity on a screen is eliminated by permitting an angle formed by a normal line on the surface unevenness of the transparent drying material and a normal line of the translucent glass substrate to be 53 degrees or less.

  • Patent number: 7306346
Abstract: Inside surround desiccant pattern A surrounding an organic EL element by bonding an element substrate to a sealing board, outside surround desiccant pattern C surrounding the inside surround desiccant pattern A, and internal desiccant pattern (having a thinner film thickness than the inside surround desiccant pattern A) surrounded by the inside surround desiccant pattern A are formed on the sealing board by one time screen printing. For this purpose, a screen mask is utilized on which opening patterns for the inside and outside surround desiccant patterns A, C and an opening pattern having a narrower opening width than the opening patterns for A and C for forming an internal desiccant pattern are formed. • Publication number: 20070148464
Abstract: Although sintered wire with lower resistance was preferable as a scan line and a signal line in conventional art in order to make a voltage drop small, there was a problem in electric connection with an electrode which constructs a cathode. In the present invention, a cathode which has an electron-emitting region 16 on a substrate 10 is constructed of a base electrode 11, a top electrode 13, and a protective insulating film 14 sandwiched by these electrodes, the base electrode 11 becomes a signal line, and sintered wire 18, used as a scan line, and the top electrode 13 are connected with an sub-electrode 17. The sub-electrode 17 includes metal included in the sintered wire 18, and metal included in the top electrode 13.

  • Patent number: 7045944
Abstract: Disclosed is an image display apparatus having a construction such that ultraviolet rays irradiated from a second substrate side are prevented from propagating through a first substrate to reach its display area by providing a picture-frame resin film for shielding ultraviolet rays on that area of the first substrate that is to be sealed to the second substrate with a sealant. Thereby, when the sealant for sealing the substrates is cured by irradiation of ultraviolet rays, photo deterioration of organic materials constituting emitting layered products and semiconductor layers constituting active elements both of which are formed on the display area may be prevented, and a high-reliability and high-performance image display apparatus may be realized.

  • Publication number: 20060066215
Abstract: An upper bus electrode is formed as a laminated wire of a metal film lower layer, a metal film intermediate layer and a metal film upper layer. Al lower in electrode potential is used as a low resistance material for the metal film intermediate layer of the upper bus electrode, while Cr high in heat resistance and oxidation resistance and higher in electrode potential than Al is used for the metal film lower and upper layers disposed as upper and lower layers. Al and Cr are selectively etched so that the metal film lower layer projects on one side and has an undercut on the other side with respect to the metal film intermediate layer.

  • Patent number: 7019455
Abstract: A cap surrounding projection is formed on an outer periphery of a light transmitting cap substrate simultaneously with the formation of pixel separation banks. A surrounding recess is formed at a position, opposed to the cap surrounding projection, on a substrate provided with emitter elements, the projection and the recess being joined through a sealant with an absorbent arranged therein. With such a construction, it becomes possible to efficiently take out light from an emitting layer and to highly accurately seal the substrate provided with the emitter elements and the light transmitting cap substrate, thus realizing an organic electro-luminescence device of high reliability.
