  • Publication number: 20050195781
Abstract: According to the present invention, the host device judges whether or not to grant a connection permission to the wireless communication device. Having been instructed to start the entry processing, the wireless access point device sends a beacon with group identification information made publicly available. Upon reception of the beacon, the wireless communication device performs an authentication processing and an association processing with the wireless access point device and further performs the authentication processing. Having been instructed to end the entry processing, the wireless access point device switches into the sending of the beacon with the group identification information hidden, thereby hiding the group identification information from other wireless access point devices.

  • Publication number: 20050185614
Abstract: A wireless access point apparatus which is capable of configuring an efficient transmission frame for a plurality of wireless communication terminals connected to or accommodated in the wireless access point apparatus, and therefore flexibly coping with the plurality of wireless communication terminals having various communicating functions. A data transmission area including a non-collision area capable of exclusively using a wireless medium and a collision area where random access communication is carried out is set in a data transmission frame. It is determined whether or not a specific wireless communicating apparatus has been connected to or accommodated in the wireless access point apparatus, and the data transmission area is changed according to the determination result. Information indicative of a new data transmission area is sent to wireless communication terminals connected to or accommodated in the wireless access point apparatus, including the specific wireless communicating apparatus.

  • Patent number: 6934542
Abstract: To provide a data communications system which makes it possible to know the operation status of equipment without going to the installation location of the equipment. A management apparatus for notifying a center about the operation status of equipment has an operation status identification management table containing identification numbers which uniquely associate each piece of equipment with its operation statuses. When the management apparatus is notified of the operation status of equipment, it sends a user device such as a user-owned wireless mobile terminal the identification number which corresponds to the reported operation status, from among the registered identification numbers, as calling number information in a call-in message.

  • Publication number: 20020046272
Abstract: A communication control device is connected by wireless communication to a central management device 103, which is connected with a management center through a communication network. The central management device stores CS identification data and PS identification data for respectively identifying the central management device itself and registered individual communication control devices. These data are also stored in a management center. In case the currently used central management device is replaced by a new central management device, the registered data are registered in the new central management device from the management center through the communication network.

  • Patent number: 5649004
Abstract: A private branch exchange so adapted that a plurality of call transfer addresses for an incoming call can be set for an ISDN terminal includes a controller having a decision unit for analyzing the incoming call and deciding an extension terminal that is to receive the incoming call, and a first transmitting unit for transmitting set-up messages to an ISDN extension interface. The ISDN extension interface accommodates a line connected to one or more ISDN terminals and has a second transmitting unit for transmitting a predetermined first message of the set-up messages to the terminal to which the set-up messages from the first transmitting unit are to be sent, a receiving unit for receiving a predetermined second message from the ISDN terminal that has received the first message, and a third transmitting unit for transmitting this received message to the controller.

  • Patent number: 5550822
Abstract: A private branch exchange accommodates a line wire on a network side and a packet terminal and supports an ISDN packet switching service. A first call from the network side or terminal side is detected, and a B channel to perform packet switching for the first call is decided based upon the first call. A B channel assigned for a second call, which was placed prior to the first call, is specified when the first call is detected. This specified B channel is one that is being used in packet switching of the second call. In a case where the B channel that has been decided is different from the B channel that has been specified, negotiation is performed with the network or terminal and the specified B channel is ultimately decided to be the channel that will be used in packet switching for the second call.

  • Patent number: 5475744
Abstract: A private branch exchange includes a detector that detects a transmission request to an external line by an extension terminal. An identifying circuit identifies the direct inward dialing number of the transmitting extension terminal and a transmitter transmits the direct inward dialing number of the transmitting extension terminal that is identified by the identifying circuit to the external line.
