  • Publication number: 20030046512
Abstract: Input information including processor group division information that is used to divide processors, which will be used in parallel calculation, into groups each of which will form a rectangular shape on a network and that is specified by information other than logical processor numbers is input to the processors of a parallel computer system. Each processor checks the received processor group division information to determine the logical processor numbers belonging to the groups. Communication among the determined possessors is done in a plurality of stages: intra-group communication processing and inter-group communication processing. Because the processors forming a group are arranged in a rectangular shape on the network, intra-group communication processing may be executed with no network conflict.

  • Patent number: 6389439
Abstract: A different phase type is specified toward each of a plurality of processors constituting a parallel computer, thereby, in a changeable manner, generating M sequence random numbers having the phase type. An information inputting unit inputs, into a random-number generating process unit, the number of the processors used in a parallel processing, the number of the random numbers to be generated by a single processor, the number of the phase types of the random numbers to be generated, and phase type information for each processor. The random-number generating process unit includes a phase-type management-table creating process unit, an initial-value table generating process unit, and a random-number generating calculation unit.

  • Patent number: 5940592
Abstract: In a distributed memory parallel computer system, each processor unit has a communication status managing table for managing a status as to other processor units to which data transmission is authorized, and a data transmitting processor unit starts the data transmission after it has confirmed that a data receiving processor unit is ready to receive the data, and the receiving processor unit informs the readiness of data reception by updating the communication status managing table of the transmitting processor unit.

  • Patent number: 5450568
Abstract: A program generating method for automatically generating a program used in a simulation of a physical phenomenon by using computers, wherein inputted information such as the shape of a domain where the physical phenomenon such as that in a fluid takes place, mesh division information therefor, a partial differential equation dominantly representing the physical phenomenon and boundary conditions thereof are inputted, differential operators included in the inputted partial differential equation and an equation representing the boundary condition are expanded to generate discrete equations and the generated discrete equations are coded to automatically generate simulation programs.
