  • Patent number: 8320322
Abstract: A control unit assigns time slots to terminal apparatuses, at regular intervals, over predetermined sub-channels among a plurality of sub-channels where the time slot is formed by frequency-multiplexing a plurality of sub-channels and frames each of which is formed by a plurality of time slots are contiguous. The control unit also arbitrarily assigns a plurality of time slots to terminal apparatuses, respectively, over the remaining sub-channels. An RF unit through an IF unit communicate with the terminal apparatuses assigned by the control unit.

  • Patent number: 8233377
Abstract: A base station apparatus assigns a time slot, where multiple sub-channels have been frequency multiplexed, to a terminal apparatus. The correspondence between the range of signal strength and time slots is defined such that the time slot differs whenever the range of signal strength differs; a control unit assigns any one of a plurality of sub-channels in the time slot corresponding to the range of low signal strengths, to the terminal apparatus as a ranging channel. An RF unit, a modem unit and so forth perform a ranging operation on the terminal apparatus over the ranging channel assigned. The control unit assigns a sub-channel to the terminal apparatus that has performed the ranging operation, as a communication channel.

  • Publication number: 20110002312
Abstract: A radio controller, which prescribes repetition of a frame formed by a plurality of downlink time slots and a plurality of uplink time slots, and which allocates a first data to be broadcast and a second data to be transmitted to a personal station with switching to the downlink time slots corresponding to each other in each frame. Further, the radio controller allocates a third data, which should be received from the personal station, to the uplink time slot corresponding to the downlink time slot allocated to the first data and to the uplink time slot corresponding to the downlink time slot allocated to the second data. A RF unit, a baseband processor, and a modulator/demodulator transmit the allocated first and second data. Further, the RF unit, the baseband processor, and the modulator/demodulator receive the allocated third data.

  • Patent number: 7428224
Abstract: In a CS in accordance with a PDMA system, control of transmission of a synchronous burst is performed at a transmission data generating DSP (7). In particular, the synchronous burst for reconnection is transmitted with a relatively high transmission level during a plurality of first, successive frames and with a relatively low transmission level during a prescribed number of second, successive frames that follow. Such variation in the transmission level is repeated in a certain frame cycle so that an effect of the synchronous burst for reconnection on another PS connected to the CS will be lowered.

  • Patent number: 7269202
Abstract: In a user signal processing unit USP, adaptive array processing is performed for a reception signal vector X(t) from array antennas #1 to #4. Based on an output signal y(t) of an adaptive array and a reference signal, an amount of frequency offset ?? is estimated. A swap detecting unit SDP detects an occurrence of swap, based on the estimated amount of offset ??, frequency of error occurrence and the like.

  • Patent number: 7149491
Abstract: In a radio reception apparatus, a quadrature detector provides its digital output signal to a band-limiting filter after lowering a sampling frequency by a sampling frequency converter. Based on a correlation value obtained from an output of the band-limiting filter by a symbol timing detecting circuit, a symbol timing deviation detecting circuit detects a magnitude and a direction of a deviation of the timing of sampling in the sampling frequency converter, and controls timing of the sampling in the sampling frequency converter. Thereby, a symbol point of the correct timing is extracted.

  • Publication number: 20050003776
Abstract: In a radio reception apparatus, a quadrature detector (4) provides its digital output signal to a band-limiting filter (6) after lowering a sampling frequency by a sampling frequency converter (15). Based on a correlation value obtained from an output of the band-limiting filter (6) by a symbol timing detecting circuit (17), a symbol timing deviation detecting circuit (18) detects a magnitude and a direction of a deviation of the timing of sampling in the sampling frequency converter (15), and controls timing of the sampling in the sampling frequency converter (15). Thereby, a symbol point of the correct timing is extracted.

  • Patent number: 6751450
Abstract: A fading rate of a mobile terminal unit is estimated by a fading rate estimation unit and an optimum step constant is decided by a step constant determiner depending on the estimated fading rate. This step constant is fed back to a feedback data calculator, so that a reception level can be converged to an ideal level even under a fading environment and the like.
