    Abstract: A crimp terminal has a crimp barrel which is crimped onto a core wire of a cable. The crimp barrel has an inner surface in which a plurality of cavities which are independent from one another is formed. Each of the cavities has a predetermined shape in a plane orthogonal to a depth direction thereof before the crimp barrel is crimped onto a core wire. The predetermined shape has at least two straight portions and a concave curved portion connecting the straight portions. The concave curved portion is indented inward of the predetermined shape. A plurality of the concave curved portions which are close to each other and included respectively in the predetermined shapes distinct from each other is arranged on an identical imaginary circle or rounded rectangular.

    Abstract: Provided is a technique for improving connection reliability. A contact part that contacts with a detecting male contact is formed in a detecting collision spring piece. The detecting male contact includes a contact surface that contacts with the contact part. The detecting collision spring piece is elastically deformed in advance so that a gap is formed between the contact part and the contact surface when the contact part is opposed to the contact surface in a height direction. When an elastic deformation force that elastically deforms the detecting collision spring piece is released, the contact part contacts with the contact surface with collision against the contact surface due to a spring restoring force of the detecting collision spring piece. A locus of the contact part just before the contact part collides with the contact surface is oblique with respect to the contact surface when seen from a mate direction.

    Abstract: In a temporary locking state, there is a little clearance C between an end wall of a contact hole provided at an insulator and an end surface of a contact. When a double locking member is pushed down from a temporary locking position to a regular locking position, an engaging portion of the double locking member pushes an inclined plane of a second stabilizer of the contact. Therefore, the contact moves to the forward direction. When the end surface of the contact is brought into contact with the end wall of the contact accommodating chamber, the contact stops. Then, the clearance C becomes naught. Since the contact of the connector cannot move to the insulator, contacts of the connector and a mating connector can stably comes into contact with each other.
