  • Publication number: 20040004667
Abstract: An image recording/replaying device, such as a video camera, has various operating switches which have enhanced operability so as to suit a mode of use. The image recording/replaying device includes an image display section (3) that is foldably, unfoldably, and rotatably supported at a body (2) internally incorporating a taking lens (4). The image recording-replaying device also includes a control switch (14) including an operating key (15) and a plurality of contacts disposed at end portions and an intersection of a cross-shaped portion of the operating key in correspondence with end portions and the central portion of the operating key, in which, by pressing any one of the end portions and the central portion of the operating key, the contact disposed in correspondence with the pressed portion is closed.

  • Patent number: 6285557
Abstract: In a card ejecting device, when a card is slidingly inserted into a case-shaped holder up to a predetermined position, the card is connected to contacting portions of contacts attached to the holder, and a rear-end portion of the card is pushed in a forward directly by pressing portions of a slider which slides while being guided by the holder, so as to move the card up to a removing position. The pressing portions are formed by front end faces of pieces provided on the slider in such a manner as to extend in the direction in which the card is pressed. Spaces (notched portions) allowing the advance of the pressing portions during the advance of the slider are formed in the holder.

  • Patent number: 6056572
Abstract: A connector for printed circuit boards, particularly for flexible ones such as FPC or FFC, has an insulating housing (2) with a recess (7) opened up and base contacts (3) held in the housing at regular intervals and each having a resilient beam (14) and an arm (5) integral with the beam. Each beam has a conductive protrusion (17) in the recess, and each arm extending along the housing's top into the recess has a pivotal end (18) facing the protrusion. An insulated pressing cover (4) engaging with the pivotal ends is rotatable between its pressing position adjacent to and its releasing position remote from the protrusions. The pivotal ends (18) lock the cover then pushing the circuit board (30) against the resilient beams (14). The cover has cover contacts (20) rotatably engaging with the pivotal ends and corresponding to the base contacts (3), so that the pivotal ends, the cover contacts (20) and the printed circuit board (30) are electrically connected to each other at the pressing position.

  • Patent number: 5987793
Abstract: An illuminative display device for use in an electronic apparatus including a cabinet with a metallic color surface and having at least a main function and a subsidiary function. The display device comprises a light source and a transparent sheet spaced apart therefrom by a predetermined distance, wherein a colored layer composed of a thin film and being the same or substantially the same in color as the metallic color of the cabinet is formed on one side of the transparent sheet opposed to the light source, and a backing layer with cutout characters is formed on one side of the colored layer opposed to the light source, so as to display the characters relative to the subsidiary function. And other display characters relative to the main function are shown on the surface of the transparent sheet at positions not overlapping with the display characters relative to the subsidiary function.

  • Patent number: 5188912
Abstract: A button battery holder adapted to be inserted into an electronic equipment is disclosed. As the holder is mounted into the electronic equipment in the direction parallel to the electrode surfaces of the button battery, a battery holder insert hole and a battery holder mounting portion to be formed in the electronic equipment can be made small, thereby contributing to a reduction in size of the electronic equipment. Furthermore, if the orientation of the electrode surfaces is incorrect upon insertion of the button battery into the holder, the side peripheral portion of the button battery is caught by the opposite side portions of the button battery insert opening at the time of little insertion, and further insertion of the button battery is inhibited because the sectional shape of the button battery does not become coincident with the shape of the button battery insert hole under the incorrectly oriented condition of the button battery.
