  • Patent number: 7993229
Abstract: An object of the invention is to provide a power transmission chain capable of effectively reducing noises and a power transmission assembly using the same. In the power transmission chain including plural links each possessing through-holes and plural pins inserted through the through-holes for interconnecting the plural links, all the plural pins substantially have the same longitudinal length while the plural pins include plural types of pins which have mutually different rigidities against force acting in the pin longitudinal direction. Furthermore, a locus of contact position between the pin and a strip is defined by an involute of a circle. The pins and strips are combined to form two or more types of pairs which provide the involutes of base circles having different radii.

  • Publication number: 20090029817
Abstract: A power transmission chain (1) has long metal links (2) and connection members (200) including first and second pins (3, 4). The longitudinal direction of the long links (2) is along the travel direction (X1) of the chain. The longitudinal direction of the first and second pins (3, 4) is along the width direction (W1) of the chain. The links (2) and the first and second pins (3, 4) form fiber flows (41, 43), each extending in a predetermined direction. The predetermined direction is parallel to or intersects the lengthwise direction of the links (2) and the first and second pins (3, 4) where the fiber flows (41, 43) are formed at a predetermined angle or smaller.

  • Publication number: 20080254927
Abstract: A power transmission chain used in a power transmission device of the present invention includes: a plurality of link plates having through holes; and a plurality of pin members that are inserted through said through holes and connect said plurality of link plates to one another. An amount of skew in a chain width direction per chain length of 200 mm is 1 to 2 mm in the power transmission chain. Thus, even if misalignment occurs in the power transmission chain, occurrence of abnormal wear and reduction in transmission efficiency can be effectively prevented.

  • Publication number: 20070191166
Abstract: A power transmission chain (1) includes a plurality of link units (51, 52, and 53) aligned in the traveling direction of chain (X), and each link unit (51, 52, and 53) includes a plurality of links (2) aligned in the width direction of chain (W). Guiding members (12 and 13) are respectively provided correspondingly to connecting members (50) that link the link units (51, 52, and 53) to one another in a manner so as to be bendable. Each link (2) includes first and second through-holes (7 and 8) aligned in the traveling direction of chain for inserting a corresponding connecting member (50) therethrough, and a communication groove (14) through which the first and second through-holes (7 and 8) communicate with each other. Each connecting member (50) includes first and second power transmission members (3 and 4).

  • Publication number: 20070178738
Abstract: A power transmission chain 1 includes a plurality of links 11 having front and back insertion parts 12, 13 into which pins are inserted, and a plurality of pins 14 and a plurality of interpieces 15 for connecting the links 11 aligned in a chain width direction so as to be bendable in a longitudinal direction such that a front insertion part 12 of one link 11 and a back insertion part 13 of another link 11 correspond to each other. Each pin 14 and each interpiece 15 are fitted and fixed to the peripheral faces of the insertion parts 12, 13 by fitting, and a difference in dimension before the fitting is 0.005 mm to 0.1 mm.

  • Publication number: 20070149331
Abstract: A power transmission chain of the invention includes: plural link plates individually including through-holes and arranged in a chain advancing direction and a chain widthwise direction and with predetermined spacing; and plural pins inserted through the through-holes for flexibly interconnecting the link plates. Since the link plates are arranged in the chain widthwise direction with the predetermined spacing, a respective pair of adjoining link plates are prevented from coming into friction contact with each other during the operation of the power transmission chain. Hence, the power transmission chain may be prevented from suffering the decrease of power transmission efficiency.
