  • Patent number: 8777839
Abstract: A shock-absorbing mechanism includes a shaft having a linear member wound therearound, a base having a relative position fixed to a first end of the linear member and formed with a shock-absorbing space which spreads toward the radial outside from the outer peripheral surface of the shaft, and a passage formed in the base in communication with the shock-absorbing space and the outside of the base and causing a second end of the linear member to extend to the outside of the base.

Date of Patent: July 15, 2014
    Assignee: Olympus Medical Systems Corp.
    Inventors: Nobuko Kondoh, Tatsutoshi Hashimoto
  • Patent number: 8721657
Abstract: A medical instrument for performing a medical procedure within a body cavity includes: an insertion part which is inserted into the body cavity and has a bending part capable of bending in a predetermined range; a manipulating part which manipulates the bending part; a wire which connects the bending part with the manipulating part; and a clutch which is provided in the manipulating part and maintains a bending state of the bending part.

  • Patent number: 8137372
Abstract: A tissue shredding device is provided which includes a shredding pipe which is inserted into a patient body in which a plurality of opening portions is formed in a longitudinal direction; and a plurality of wires which is withdrawn from the opening portion, bent back outside the shredding pipe, and drawn into the shredding pipe. Here, the tissue shredding device may be changed to one of a first arrangement in which the wires are withdrawn from the shredding pipe so that a tissue can be introduced toward top portions corresponding to bent-back parts of the plurality of wires, a second arrangement in which the top portions are arranged opposite to the shredding pipe, and a third arrangement in which the wires are drawn into the opening portion.

  • Publication number: 20080255422
Abstract: A medical instrument which is inserted into a body cavity includes: an insertion part which has a bending part capable of bending in a predetermined range; a plurality of joint rings which are provided in the bending part and are connected to each other in the axial direction of the insertion part; a manipulating part which manipulates the bending part; and a wire which is inserted into the plurality of the joint rings and connects the bending part with the manipulating part, wherein: the plurality of the joint rings comprises a connecting part, a portion of which is provided so as to protrude from the outer peripheral surface and which is connected to the joint ring of the distal side in the axial direction of the insertion part and a connected part which is connected to the joint ring of the proximal side in the axial direction of the insertion part; the connecting part has a linear cross section orthogonal to the axis of the joint ring, and a curved base portion which is a portion of the connecting part pr
