Abstract: A lens adapter is disclosed. The lens adapter includes: an adapter ring having a flexible fitting portion and an installation portion in which an optical component is mounted, the fitting portions being fitted over a fitting engagement portion of a lens ring mounted around a lens portion facing a front surface of an imaging apparatus; and a lock ring fitted over an outer surface of the adapter ring, the lock ring being manipulated so as to be moved between a locked position where the lock ring is opposite to the fitting portions fitted over the fitting engagement portion and flexure of the fitting portions is prevented and an unlocked position where the lock ring is retracted from the locked position.

Abstract: An image pickup apparatus is provided. The image pickup apparatus permitting a conversion lens to be mounted and dismounted, wherein a lens hood is composed of a base portion on the mounting side and a tubular portion on the front side, the base portion and the tubular portion are detachably coupled to each other, and another lens is contained in the inside of the lens hood when the another lens is mounted on the front side of an optical system, whereby even when the conversion lens is being used, the lens hood can be used as it is, and the incident light contracting function of the lens hood can be maintained.

It comprises a supporting member formed at one side wall of the built-in camera type video tape recorder and having a shutter member, the shutter member being opened in a ganged relation with a shutter which is opened when the built-in camera type video tape recorder is loaded on the connecting apparatus, and a terminal portion facing an opening portion of the shutter member and the supporting member and being electrically connected to a signal input and output portion projected from the opening portion opened when a shutter of the connecting apparatus is opened.
