Patent number: 5106719Abstract: A system for providing a personal booklet, such as a passport, with a picture of the face and personal data of the bookholder to thereby provide the booklet holder's identity. The system includes entering a picture of the face of an applicant, the picture being attached to an application form, as a figure image into an image composing device, entering personal data of the applicant entered in the application form as a character image, providing a composite image of the figure and character images, printing the composite image onto a thermal transfer type photosensitive printing paper, transfering the printed composite image onto an image receiving layer coated on a transparent cover sheet bound in the booklet, and sandwiching the image receiving material layer between a supporting sheet bound in the booklet next to the transparent cover sheet and the transparent cover sheet.Type: GrantFiled: October 24, 1988Date of Patent: April 21, 1992Assignee: Fuji Photo Film Co., Ltd.Inventors: Yuji Oshikoshi, Yoshimi Suganuma, Hiroshi Hara, Kazuo Shiota, Nobumitsu Takehara, Kiichiro Sakamoto

Patent number: 4928996Abstract: A booklet, such as a passport, for providing the identity of the holder thereof, with a picture of the face and personal data of the bookholder, includes transparent and supporting sheets bound in the booklet separately from and adjacent to each other. Furthermore, an image receiving layer is formed on one surface of one of the separate transparent and supporting sheets and an optically readable data printing section is provided on either one of the transparent and supporting sheets where optically readable personal data of said booklet holder is printed. Also, an adhesive layer is provided for adhering the transparent and supporting sheets together to sandwich the image receiving layer therebetween after having formed a composite image of the picture and personal data in the image receiving layer.Type: GrantFiled: October 24, 1988Date of Patent: May 29, 1990Assignee: Fuji Photo Film Co., Ltd.Inventors: Yuji Oshikoshi, Yoshimi Suganuma, Hiroshi Hara, Kazuo Shiota, Nobumitsu Takehara, Kiichiro Sakamoto

Patent number: 4911478Abstract: A personal booklet with a picture and personal data of the bookholder, such as a passport for providing the bookholder's identity, comprises transparent and supporting sheets bound in the booklet separately from and adjacent to each other, and an identification data bearing sheet with an image receiving layer formed on a surface thereon. The image receiving layer includes a composite image of the picture and the personal data, and optically readable personal data of the bookholder described by optically readable characters such as font type numbers and/or alphabets. The transparent sheet and the supporting sheet are adhered with adhesive layers to sandwich the identification data bearing sheet therebetween.Type: GrantFiled: October 28, 1988Date of Patent: March 27, 1990Assignee: Fuji Photo Film Co., Ltd.Inventors: Yuji Oshikoshi, Yoshimi Sugamuma, Hiroshi Hara, Kazuo Shiota, Nobumitsu Takehara, Kiichiro Sakamoto

Patent number: 4629675Abstract: A photosensitive material containing a hydrophilic pigment is exposed to light to form a pigment pattern defining a particular image. The photosensitive material is brought into intimate contact with an image receiving material having a pigment fixing layer. The mutually contacting materials are heated so that the pigment may be transferred from the photosensitive material to the pigment fixing layer. A pigment diffusion assistant, is supplied to an area between the mutually contacting materials before they are heated for pigment transfer. The diffusion assistant spreads along a line along which the two materials are in contact with each other and promotes the transfer of the pigment.Type: GrantFiled: April 2, 1984Date of Patent: December 16, 1986Assignee: Fuji Photo Film Co., Ltd.Inventors: Nobumitsu Takehara, Kazuhiko Yanagihara, Masahiro Ohnishi, Isamu Hatanaka, Shigeo Harada

Patent number: 4299188Abstract: A slide-type bead coating apparatus in which a semi-circular groove is formed in the groove surface adjacent a moving web. The speed of the coating liquids is rapidly increased as the liquid flows drop abruptly along the falling part of the groove after which the liquids are smoothly delivered from the rising part of the groove. The maximum possible coating speed is significantly increased especially for low liquid flow rates.Type: GrantFiled: December 7, 1979Date of Patent: November 10, 1981Assignee: Fuji Photo Film Co., Ltd.Inventors: Shogo Isayama, Nobumitsu Takehara

Patent number: 4297396Abstract: A slide bead coating method and apparatus wherein a first coating liquid is supplied from a center portion of a slide surface and a second coating liquid is supplied along edge portions thereof contiguous to the flow of the first coating liquid. The second coating liquid has a viscosity lower than that of the first coating liquid and a flow rate which is also lower than that of the first coating liquid. In this manner, breakage of both end portions of the bead is prevented without coating both end portions thicker than the center portion while yet a high coating speed operation is attained.Type: GrantFiled: December 7, 1979Date of Patent: October 27, 1981Assignee: Fuji Photo Film Co., Ltd.Inventors: Nobumitsu Takehara, Shogo Isayama
