    Abstract: A replay device includes a flash memory, a setting means, and a test result output unit. A device key for copyright protection is recorded in the flash memory. When a predetermined actuation input is received, the setting means sets the device to a test mode in which it is tested whether or not the device key is recorded. And, when the test mode is set, the test result output means tests whether or not the device key is recorded in the flash memory, and outputs a screen with the result of the test. Moreover, the test result output means displays the test result by changing a background color of the test result screen, according to the presence or absence of the device key.

    Abstract: When a break in data is detected by a detection unit, an audio output stoppage command unit commands a digital audio processing device connected to an audio output unit to stop output of audio. A sampling frequency checking unit checks whether or not the sampling frequency of the audio data before the break, and the sampling frequency of the audio data after the break, are the same. When the sampling frequency checking unit detects that these sampling frequencies are the same, an audio output stoppage elimination command unit waits until a fixed time period has elapsed, and then returns the reading position upon the optical disk at which the reading unit reads in data to a position directly after the break, and also commands the digital audio processing device to eliminate the stoppage of output of audio.

The program can be updated appropriately corresponding to various conditions such as improvement in performance of the device, changes in operation environment and others determined by a user. Accordingly, it is possible to provide an information processing device, which can update a control program even in the case where the device has a different structure, when the user determines that such updating is allowed.

The decoder unit reproduces data in response to a reproduction instruction, and provides a reproduction result. When the reproduction result indicates non-reproducibility, the CPU changes the select information. The data indicated as non-reproducible data is no longer reproduced in subsequent reproducing operations, and only the reproducible data will be reproduced. Therefore, it is possible to provide a data reproducing device that can read and reproduce only the correctly reproducible data from the data recorded on a record medium.
