    Abstract: Provided is a magnet that allows the orientation direction of main and auxiliary pole pieces to be set precisely and enables easy fabrication of flux focusing permanent magnet units having a high magnetic flux density A magnet 22 includes permanent magnet units 22a each including a main pole piece 221 and auxiliary pole pieces 222. The main pole piece 221 is composed of permanent magnet sheets 221a with substantially the same thickness stacked in the thickness direction. The auxiliary pole pieces 222 are composed of permanent magnet sheets 222a with substantially the same thickness stacked in the thickness direction and arranged at positions adjacent to the main pole piece 221 with orientation directions different from the orientation direction of the main pole piece 221 thereby to focus the magnetic flux at the main pole piece 221.

    Abstract: It is possible to reduce a rise in temperature of a rotor by reducing the temperature of a stator. The motor 1 includes a stator 5, and a rotor 4, which is disposed with a gap from the stator 5, being arranged in a housing 2, in which the stator 5 is provided with an annular yoke and a plurality of teeth protruding from an inner peripheral portion of the yoke toward the rotor 4; slots in which coils 6 wound around the teeth are arranged are respectively formed between the teeth that are adjacent to each other; a mold resin portion 30 in which the stator 5 and the coils 6 are molded is provided; the mold resin portion 30 includes a flow path 32 formed within at least one slot among a plurality of slots; and the flow path 32 is supplied with a cooling medium.

    Abstract: To expand display data for a low-resolution matrix display apparatus to display data for a high-resolution matrix display apparatus without causing a reduction in the speed of processing and without requiring clocks of different frequencies. This is accomplished by providing intermediate value generating circuits for generating intermediate values of a plurality of adjacent display data according to an expansion ratio in a driver circuit of a matrix display apparatus and by also applying the outputs of the intermediate value generating circuits to the matrix display panel. Thus, the display data is expanded by the driver.
