  • Patent number: 5450922
Abstract: A power plant is mounted on both sides in a transverse direction by mounts. Each of the mounts is placed within a triangle defined by a point on a primary inertial axis of the power plant on the transverse side of the power plant, a point at a node of power plant bending vibrations in a twisting mode or in a fluctuation mode, and a point defined by the intersection of a perpendicular line passing through the primary inertial axis and a horizontal line passing through the node of vibrations.

  • Patent number: 5042321
Abstract: A transmission structure for an automotive vehicle having a power unit includes an engine and a transmission device, including a power transmitting device connected to an output shaft of the engine, for transfer from an output of the engine to the transmission device. A first housing for the power transmitting device, a second housing for the transmission device, connected to the first housing, a differential device, housed in the first housing and positioned so as to be offset from an output shaft of the engine, and a reinforcement element, having one end portion connected to an upper surface of the first housing and another end portion connected to both side surfaces of the second housing, are provided.

  • Patent number: 4776312
Abstract: An engine control system having an engine vibration sensor which detects engine vibrations. A control circuit is provided for discriminating engine roughness wherein the engine vibration level is above a predetermined level and for decreasing the fuel supply continuously when engine roughness is not detected, in order to make the mixture leaner, but increasing the fuel supply when engine roughness is detected to make the mixture richer. A detector is provided for detecting a specific engine condition wherein the mixture is enriched for specific purposes. The control circuit is responsive to the output of the engine condition detector and discontinues the roughness control when the specific engine condition is detected.

  • Patent number: 4683856
Abstract: A control system for a vehicle engine in which fuel supply quantity is controlled in accordance with the engine roughness level. An engine roughness sensor is provided for detecting engine vibrations and producing a roughness signal which is compared with a reference signal. When the roughness signal is greater than the reference signal, the fuel supply is increased to enrich the air-fuel mixture but, when the roughness signal is smaller than the reference signal, the fuel supply is decreased to make the mixture leaner. The reference signal is smallest in idling operation and stepwisely increased depending on an increase in the load on the engine.

  • Patent number: 4155059
Abstract: A circuit network with a pair of operational amplifiers and impedance elements, to show equivalent impedance, between two network terminals, of a value either well reduced or enlarged from the impedance of the impedance elements. The network may thus function as idealized diode when the impedance elements are diodes, or may be of large equivalent capacitance or inductance, as the impedance elements are capacitors or inductors.

  • Patent number: 4031758
Abstract: A pressure-difference type mass flowmeter with constant volumetric recirculation effected by a pump, with an annular flow path having four junctions each having a spur path. One pair of the alternate spur paths serve as inlet and outlet of the fluid flow to be measured, while the other pair of the alternate spur paths are connected to the recirculation pump. Four sections of the annular flow path defined by the four junctions are each provided with static fluid pressure sensing point, and a transducer gives a readout of difference in average static pressures of one pair of the alternate sensing points and of the other pair of the alternate sensing points. This readout is linearly proportional to the fluid mass flow rate.
