  • Patent number: 5010423
Abstract: A tracking device is disclosed. When a target track is indicated by indicating means, the head is shifted toward the target track. During this time, prior to the detecting the signal for a position of the target track, the signals for the adjacent positions to the position of the target track on either side are detected, and, after that, the signal for the position of the target track is detected. Based on the outputs of these positions, discriminating means determines the position to which the head is tracked relative to the recording medium.

  • Patent number: 4965682
Abstract: A speed control device for controlling the speed of an electric motor for rotating a recording medium by a feedback control system including a proportion term proportional to information on a deviation of the speed of the motor from a speed set value and an integration term obtained by integrating the information of the deviation with respect to time. The value of the difference between a stationary term obtained when the head is loaded on the recording medium and a stationary term obtained when the head is unloaded is previously memorized about each of head load positions. Depending on the head load position, the memorized corresponding stationary term is supplied to the feedback control system, whereby the speed of the motor is maintained constant despite a change in the load.

  • Patent number: 4855654
Abstract: A rotary body drive device for controlling rotation of a motor on the basis of the phase difference between a periodic signal produced in accompaniment with rotation of the motor and a reference clock signal so that their phase relationship becomes a prescribed one. When the phase difference between both signals detected in a certain state is largely different from that detected in the preceding time, a correction is given to the phase difference of both signals detected in the aforesaid certain state, so that the rotation of said motor is controlled in accordance with the corrected phase difference.
