  • Publication number: 20050140570
Abstract: Gate electrode lines 11 formed on glass substrate 3 are separated by separating portions 32 for respective pixels 5 to shorten lengths of gate electrode lines 11. Both end portions of gate electrode lines 11 separated by separating portions 32 are electrically connected by conductive films 42 made from the same materials as signal electrode lines 13. When glass substrate 3 is lifted up while glass substrate 3 is charged with static electricity, the increases in voltages at gate insulation film 31 provided between gate electrode lines 11 and polycrystalline semiconductor film 22 are effectively suppressed so that electrostatic destruction of gate electrode lines 11 can be prevented.

  • Patent number: 6194023
Abstract: A method of manufacturing a poly-crystalline silicon (p-Si) film includes the steps in which an excimer laser anneals an amorphous silicon (a-Si) film deposited on a glass substrate and makes the same into the poly-crystalline silicon while the glass substrate is moved in a moving direction relative to the laser. Prior to carrying out the annealing step, a couple of the laser pulses are applied to different places of the a-Si film, provided that each of the laser pulses has different energy fluence and one pulse at a time is applied to the a-Si film. The pulse applied area is divided into two sections by a reference line perpendicular to the moving direction of the glass substrate. Average grain sizes of the p-Si film in the two sections are compared to each other to determine the moving direction.

  • Patent number: 5120355
Abstract: A composition having excellent water-repellent properties and stability in an emulsified state is provided. The composition contains a wax having a melting point of 50.degree. to 90.degree. C., a hydrocarbon resin, an alkali metal salt of a condensation product of .beta.-naphthalene sulfonic acid with formalin and an alkali salt of polyacrylic acid. These components are emulsified in water. The composition is especially useful as a waterproof agent fo gypsum boards and gypsum plaster.

  • Patent number: 4205127
Abstract: There is disclosed a process for the renewal of a deactivated insolubilized glucose isomerase which comprises subjecting an insolubilized glucose isomerase adsorbed onto an anion exchange resin, which has been used for isomerization of glucose into fructose to decrease its activity, to treatments by an aqueous mineral acid solution in combination with an aqueous alkaline solution, an aqueous electrolytic salt solution, an aqueous mineral acid or a mixture thereof to release adsorbed materials from the resin which is converted into a salt type and adsorbing fresh glucose isomerase to the regenerated resin to recover the activity of the insolubilized glucose isomerase.
