  • Patent number: 7509822
Abstract: An article of clothing has a main body formed of high-tightness, main-body knitting fabric made of power net. The article of clothing includes front and back support pieces disposed around the waist and having no elasticity in a longitudinal direction thereof. The front support pieces are sewn to a front body at positions inside the left and right ilia of the abdominal pelvis. The back support pieces are sewn to a back body at left and right positions near the sacrum of the pelvis in central hip portions. Side waist pieces disposed between the front and back support pieces are formed by sewing high-tightness, net-like knitting fabric to the main-body knitting fabric at the top edge while leaving the bottom edge unsewn. The article of clothing has a pant-like shape with left and right leg parts that can be tightly fitted around the thighs.

  • Patent number: 7310806
Abstract: A supporting mechanism for movably supporting a member to be supported along a supporting shaft, comprises supporting members and a pressing device. The supporting members are provided on the member to be supported. Each of the supporting members comes into contact with the supporting shaft on at least two contact points so as to be movable on the supporting shaft. The at least two contact points are apart from each other. The pressing device presses the supporting members against the supporting shaft so that the contact points of each supporting member simultaneously come into contact with the supporting shaft.

  • Patent number: 6883996
Abstract: A writing instrument has a felt pen core held in a leading holder at the leading end of a pen shaft. The pen core is movable along the longitudinal direction of the pen shaft and is pressed in the longitudinal direction to supply ink stored in an ink storage chamber inside the pen shaft to the pen core. A base end portion includes a projection with a tapered outer side surface that narrows the projection in the tail direction. The projection is lower than an engaging portion and is movable along the longitudinal direction between the engaging portion and the leading end of the pen shaft. A notch is formed in a base-end surface of the base end portion and extends in the upper direction. The projection undergoes an elastic deformation to narrow the width of the notch, thereby narrowing a maximum width of the projection.

  • Patent number: 6813235
Abstract: An optical pickup apparatus has a simplified configuration for using a plurality of laser beams at different wavelength to reduce the size, and a laser diode chip for use therewith. An irradiation light path for leading a laser beam emitted from a light emitter to a recording medium is provided with an optical axis correcting element for passing a first laser beam and for diffracting a second laser beam having a wavelength different from that of the first laser beam to generate diffracted light which has the optical axis substantially matching the optical axis of the first laser beam. The optical axis correcting element is arranged at a position at which the center of a light intensity distribution of the first laser beam incident thereto matches the center of a light intensity distribution of the second laser beam incident thereto.

  • Patent number: 5991246
Abstract: A casing of a device has a pair of vertical side walls, and a plurality of vertically arranged optical discs. Each side wall has a vertical guide slit. A disc player has two pins projected from opposite sides. Elevation plates are horizontally slidably mounted on the vertical side walls at outsides thereof. Each of the elevation plates has a V-shaped guide slit comprising an upper diagonal slit and a lower diagonal slit. Each pin is slidably engaged with vertical guide slit and with the V-shaped guide slit so that disc player is held at a vertical position. The elevation plates are driven in a horizontal direction which is changed to an opposite direction at a joint between the upper diagonal slit and the lower diagonal slit. Thus, each of the pins is moved along the vertical guide slit and the V-shaped guide slit, so that the disc player is carried to a position corresponding an optical disc.

  • Patent number: 5242091
Abstract: The sealant cartridge of the invention utilizes a specially designed plunger in a standard cartridge body for storing and dispensing air-curable sealants. The plunger has a plurality of grooves formed in its circumferential surface. With the plunger removed, the cartridge body can be filled with sealant through its open end. When the plunger is inserted into the open end of the cartridge body, air that is entrapped between the plunger and sealant escapes through the grooves and sealant is then extruded therethrough. The sealant in the grooves cures, protecting the sealant stored in the cartridge from contact with the atmosphere.
