  • Patent number: 8831805
Abstract: A construction machine or industrial vehicle having a power supply system which includes a chargeable and dischargeable capacitor and a feeder circuit connecting a battery and the capacitor to a load capable of power running and regeneration. The capacitor is connected through a DC/DC converter which includes a controller that controls energy charged or discharged by the capacitor through the DC/DC converter to the load. The controller includes a power running/regeneration operation estimater which estimates an operation pattern including a point of change between power running and regeneration modes of the motor, or DC current supplied to an inverter, or control lever information and previously stored operation pattern information, and a capacitor target voltage calculator which controls an output command value of the DC/DC converter according to the estimated operation pattern so that a capacitor target voltage sequentially decreases in power running and sequentially increases in regeneration.

  • Publication number: 20110297486
Abstract: [Object] To enable stable cargo handling operation and high-efficiency recovery of regenerative electric power by means of simple configuration. [Solution] In a forklift which includes linear actuators that convert rotational motion into linear motion, the linear actuators being provided in a plurality of fork parts of a cargo handling drive device, the forklift includes induction motors that drive each of the plurality of actuators provided in the plurality of fork parts, an inverter that drives the induction motors in the same manner, and a controller that controls the inverter, and the controller computes a slip frequency by using the lowest detection value among detection values from detectors that detect each of rotation speeds of the plurality of induction motors.

  • Patent number: 6688416
Abstract: Front wheels (3) are attached to transmission devices (30) which are mounted to the vehicle body (2) to be rotatable around vertical axes (27), and rotating means (55) are provided between the side of the vehicle body (2) and the transmission devices (30), whereby the front wheels are steered to turn laterally at substantially right angles. An electric motor (40) is attached to the transmission device (30) to be located under the vertical axis (27). A case body (41) of the electric motor (40) is constructed by an outer case part (41A) and a non-loaded side bracket (41B), and a loaded side end portion of the outer case-part (41A) is connected to the transmission device case body (31). The drive shaft (44) is rotatably supported by the non-loaded side bracket (41B) at one end and by the transmission device case body (31) at the other end. A driving portion (34) provided at the other end side of the drive shaft (44) is operatively connected to an axle (28).

  • Patent number: 4733600
Abstract: An apparatus for controlling the angular position of the booms of an earthwork vehicle such as a wheeled tractor loader includes a shock absorber, by which the hydraulic pressure to be applied to a cargo handling valve for changing the position of a valve spool therein is lowered so as to lessen the shocks which are felt when the booms come to a stop position.
