Abstract: An information providing apparatus of an information providing system includes, as functions thereof: an attribute information acquisition unit that receives user attribute information; an image information reception unit that receives image information captured by photographing or filming a user's room; a preference information acquisition unit that receives preference information indicating a user's preference for the room; a layout information generation unit that generates layout information for the user's room; a furniture arrangement unit 135 that selects furniture information pertaining to furniture suitable for the user based on the attribute information, the layout information, or the preference information, and arranges the selected furniture information in the image information for the room; and an image information presentation unit that presents the user with the image information in which the furniture is arranged.
