    Abstract: A cutting apparatus cuts a fabric using a rotary blade and a fixed blade that are built into a cutter head. The fixed blade is linked, to the other-end side of a swing arm of which one end is pivotally fitted on a blade frame by a swing shaft. The fixed blade is urged by a coil spring connected to the one-end side of the swing arm. When a prescribed resistance force is applied to the fixed blade, a position sensor detects movement of the swing arm, a fixed blade drive cylinder drives the swing arm in response to the detection, and the fixed blade is moved to an accommodation position that is above the position during cutting and that is on an opposite side in the advancing direction of the cutter head.

    Abstract: [Problems] In a conventional texture cutting, little attention was paid to the accuracy of the angled or the curved texture cutting, and the accurate cutting could not be conducted. [Mean of Solving Problems] A contact point between the top edge of a lower blade 75 and a rotation blade 67 is made to intersect with a center axis C with an error range of ±3 mm. Thereby, the accuracy of the angled or curved cutting is improved. Especially, the center of the rotation blade is significantly desirable to be positioned ahead of the center axis in the traveling direction, thereby enabling the smoother cutting.

    Abstract: [PROBLEMS] To solve problems with a conventional cloth cutting, wherein since a cloth is cut out by bringing a cutter for tailoring into contact with the cloth on a conveyor belt, the cutting of the cloth tended to be obstructed by the conveyor belt and, accordingly, an accurate cutting pattern could not be provided, and also the conveyor belt tended to be damaged by the cutter for tailoring and, accordingly, requires replacement to use for a long period which increased operational difficulty and cost. [MEANS OF SOLVING PROBLEMS] When a cloth (86) is cut out, the cloth (86) is cut out by a cutter (75) for tailoring without bringing the cutter into contact with a conveyor belt (33) carrying the cloth.     Abstract: A laminate placed on a supporting belt is covered with an air-impermeable sheet, then compressed by sucking air from sucking mechanisms, and the laminate is cut by a cutter which is supported at two locations. A belt retaining mechanism comprises a number of belt support plates for supporting a belt, support posts extending downwardly therefrom, and receiving plates supported by a receiving plate retaining mechanism disposed on longitudinal beams. A travel body and cam plates are operatively connected, and the support posts are supported on the receiving plates at a location other than a cam groove of each cam plate to stabilize the belt support plates. The receiving plates are separated within a movable recess of the belt, so that the support plates are raised by the cam groove.

A peripheral portion of the suction port is covered with the air-impermeable sheet, and the laminate is compressed in the direction of its thickness by evacuating air from within a space defined by the air-impermeable sheet by vacuum producing means connected to the suction pipe. The air-impermeable sheet and laminate can be moved together with the suction pipe in parallel relation to the supporting surface, and they can be stopped at a desired position, during the evacuation process.

    Abstract: A transfer roll assembly for transferring a length of a textile web in a textile machine includes left and right sets of transfer plates mounted on and extending axially of a drive shaft for coming into frictional, surface contact with a textile web supplied by the textile machine, each set of transfer plates being arranged about the drive shaft so as to form a regular polygon when viewed in cross section, with each individual transfer plate forming one side of the regular polygon. Means are provided for forcibly moving the left and right sets of transfer plates axially away from each other while the plates are in contact with the textile web, whereby the web is subjected to a sufficiently large force for elongating the web in the transverse direction while the web is being transferred by the transfer plates. Also provided are means for adjusting the timing at which the left and right transfer plates separate from each other.
