  • Patent number: 4669601
Abstract: A device for supplying a cylindrical bottomed preform from an injection molding machine to a biaxial orientation blow molding machine, in which the pieces are conveyed in an upward opening attitude. The pieces are then inverted by an inverting table for inverting the piece from the upward opening to a downward opening attitude. The pieces are horizontally moved into piece guide recesses by an inserting plate and are dropped from the recesses to mandrels of the heat blow molding machine directly under the piece thus conveyed by a stopper plate to assemble the piece thus dropped with the mandrel for the biaxial orientation blow molding process.

  • Patent number: 4638443
Abstract: A gas detecting apparatus incorporates a number of gas detecting elements which react with a variety of gases and exhibit gas sensitivities differing from one another in dependence on the gas species. The detection patterns obtained by quantitizing the detection outputs of the gas detecting elements are compared with a plurality of standard patterns prepared previously for assumed combinations of gas species and concentrations thereof. On the basis of the standard pattern which is same or most similar to the detection pattern, the gas species is identified.

  • Patent number: 4600509
Abstract: A plate filter press includes a number of filter plates slidably suspended on a horizontal upper frame and dogging means mounted on a chain extending above the filter plates to move together with the chain and engageable with the respective filter plates for progressively opening the filter plates so as to be spaced apart from each other. The filter press according to the invention comprises dogged bars engageable with the dogging means and located on the respective filter plates at a level substantially the same as that of slide surfaces of the filter plates slidable on the upper frame, filter plate connecting chains on the filter plates at a level substantially the same as that of the dogged bars, and stoppers on the filter plates at a level above the dogged bars, thereby preventing the filter plates from swinging and tilting.

  • Patent number: 4586143
Abstract: A gas detecting apparatus is disclosed in which detection outputs from a plurality of semiconductor gas detecting elements different in gas detection characteristic from each other and previously-obtained characteristic values of the semiconductor gas detecting elements for a mixed gas are subjected to operational processing to detect one or more specified constituent gases contained in the mixed gas, and in which when the specified constituent gas is detected, the detection information is announced by some means, and also the supply of gas is stopped or a supply gas is diluted.

  • Patent number: 4457161
Abstract: A gas detection device and a method for detecting a gas where gas information including concentrations of gas components in a mixed gas, concentration, presence of specific gas components and the like is detected by measuring, e.g., the output voltages of a plurality of gas sensors having different gas selectivities. The gas selectivities, as a characteristic constant of the specific gas sensor, was previously determined. The measured output voltages and gas selectivities are then used for solving plural simultaneous equations for gas concentrations.

  • Patent number: 4316966
Abstract: In a process for producing a chemically blended propylene resin composition having an ethylene content of about 1 to about 40 mole % based on the entire monomer units of the resin composition which comprises (i) a pre-polymerization step, and (ii) a multiplicity of subsequent polymerization steps, the improvement wherein (I) the pre-polymerization step (i) is either (I-A) a step wherein about 1 to about 1500 g, per millimole of titanium atom, of ethylene is polymerized, (I-B) a step wherein about 1 to about 1500 g, per millimole of titanium atom, of propylene is polymerized, or (I-C) a step wherein about 1 to about 1000 g, per millimole of titanium atom, of an alpha-olefin having 4 to 10 carbon atoms is polymerized, and (II) said multiplicity of polymerization steps (ii) are the following steps (II-1), (II-2) and (II-3) which are carried out in separate reaction zones different from the reaction zone of the pre-polymerization step (i) in this order or in the order of (II-1), (II-3) and (II-2), (II-1) a step o

  • Patent number: 4171481
Abstract: An apparatus of the invention for inspecting bottles for detecting flaws or contamination in the bottles relies upon the light converging function performed by one open-sided elliptic cylinder having reflective inner surface and two foci. The point or line to be inspected of the bottle is positioned at one of the two foci, while at least one light receiving element is disposed at the other focus. A beam of light is applied to the point or line to be inspected of the bottle, so that, if there is any defect such as flaw or contamination, the light is reflected irregularly by the bottle in indefinite direction. The irregularly reflected fractions of light are reflected by the inner surface of the elliptic cylinder and converge on the light receiving element disposed at the other focus, so as to be effectively received by the same element. the presence of the defect, if any, is detected from the output of the light receiving element.

  • Patent number: 4082663
Abstract: A method of positioning a filter cake discharge device for a filter press, which is mostly a vibrating device or vibrator for vibrating a filter cloth between opened filter plates. The relative position of the vibrating device with respect to the filter plates is determined by utilizing each signal from a switch provided on the discharge device for detecting a position of the vibrating device and other switches provided on the discharge device for detecting a condition of the filter plates. These switches are operated by protrusions provided on the top end of the filter plates.
