  • Patent number: 6557439
Abstract: In a transmission in which transmission mechanisms (1st speed, 2nd speed, 3rd speed and reverse transmission mechanisms 11, 12, 13, 14) are disposed between transmission input and output shafts 1, 2 which are parallel with each other, a structure in which a driving force is distributed from the output shaft 2 for transmission to front and rear wheels of a vehicle comprising an intermediate rear wheel driving gear 32 rotatably disposed on the input shaft 1, a front wheel side driving gear 3a fixed to the output shaft for transmitting the driving force to the front wheels, a first rear wheel driving gear 31 fixed to the output shaft so as to mesh with the intermediate gear and a second rear wheel driving gear 33 rotatably disposed on a rear wheel driving rotating shaft 35 which is parallel with the input shaft and adapted to mesh with the intermediate rear wheel driving gear so as to transmit the driving force to the rear wheels.

  • Patent number: 5704457
Abstract: A driving force from a motor is transmitted through a pinion, a first gear, a second gear, a third gear, a link, a control lever, a control shaft, a parking shaft and a parking lever to a parking pole. A lost motion spring is mounted between the control shaft and the parking lever for biasing the parking pole toward a parking gear. A one-way clutch is mounted between the third gear and a housing. The one-way clutch permits the driving force from the motor to be transmitted to the parking pole and prevents the resilient force of the lost motion spring from being transmitted back to the motor.

  • Patent number: 5315898
Abstract: An automatic transmission has, between input and output shafts, a plurality of power transmitting paths composed of combinations of planetary gear trains, and a plurality of engaging units for selecting one of the power transmitting paths for establishing a desired gear position. An upshift is effected from a present gear position to a target gear position which is higher than the present gear position through disengagement of two engaging units and engagement of two other engaging units. A controlling intermediate gear position is selected which is higher than the target gear position and which can be shifted to from the present gear position and the target gear position only through disengagement of one of the engaging units and engagement of another of the engaging units. When an upshift command is issued, the transmission starts shifting from the present gear position to the controlling intermediate gear position.

  • Patent number: 4942787
Abstract: A controller for an automatic transmission hydraulic clutch includes a hydraulic clutch engaged by hydraulic pressure, a hydraulic pressure control valve for regulating the hydraulic pressure, and a detector for detecting a condition immediately before engagement of the hydraulic clutch based upon a change in the hydraulic pressure. A timing controller adjusts timing to change a control force in the hydraulic pressure control valve in response to detection of a condition immediately before engagement of the clutch.
