  • Patent number: 7516283
Abstract: Data is stored in a non-volatile memory such as a flash memory. The non-volatile memory has two memory areas. When power of a device is turned on, data in the two memory areas are compared to determine which memory area includes old data, and the old data is erased. When the power is turned off, a control setting of the device used immediately before the power is turned off is stored as new data in the memory area from which the old data is erased. When the power is applied again, the new data is read, and the control setting is restored in the device.

  • Publication number: 20080140236
Abstract: There are provided a musical composition reproducing apparatus and a musical composition reproducing method by which musical composition data can be reproduced without boring a user. The musical composition reproducing apparatus acquires a musical composition feature value indicating respective feature of a plurality of musical composition data recorded on a recording means, judges according to the musical composition feature value of musical composition thus acquired whether or not each musical composition data has a predetermined musical mood, and registers the musical compositions judged to have the musical mood in a reproduction list corresponding to the musical mood while arranging the musical composition data in a predetermined reproducing order.

  • Publication number: 20050235168
Abstract: An information-recording apparatus that records program information to a recording device, is provided with: a control device which controls the operation of the apparatus; and a voltage-monitoring device which monitors the power-supply voltage supplied to the apparatus; and wherein the control device switches to a low-power-consumption mode for lowering the power consumption of the apparatus when recording the program information, when the power-supply voltage becomes less than a predetermined first threshold value.

  • Publication number: 20040252846
Abstract: A noise reduction apparatus is capable of suppressing deterioration of an aural sensing level due to noise existing in a sound field. The apparatus synthesizes a signal obtained by adding a predetermined delay to a sound field noise and reversing and amplifying the signal with an electric signal from a sound reproduction system to obtain a sound pressure output by using a first signal processing part. On the other hand, the apparatus synthesizes a signal obtained by delaying an electric signal from the sound reproduction system by a predetermined period and reversing and amplifying the signal with an electric signal obtained from a sound pressure in the proximity of a concha of a listener to extract a residual noise component by using a second signal processing part. The apparatus controls the delay amounts and the gains set by the first and second signal processing parts so as to minimize an extraction signal.

  • Publication number: 20040252985
Abstract: A data transfer and reproduction system which transfers contents data such as music and the like from a master device such as a personal computer and the like to a slave device such as a car-mounted audio device and the like, without putting an operational burden on a user. Certification is registered between the slave device and the master device which transfers contents data, and contents data is transferred between the devices the certification of which has been registered. Of contents data stored in memory in the master device, contents data with a “yet-to-be transferred” identifier is transferred to the slave device at predetermined timing. When the functional disturbance of the slave device is detected during transfer, the transfer of contents data is aborted. The timing of the transfer may be in accordance with a predetermined time schedule, or a transfer command from the user.
