  • Publication number: 20220299451
Abstract: In a nondestructive inspection of a defect of a welded portion of a pipe or a pipe member, work efficiency of a radiation transmission test is improved by reducing a burden on a worker, and an inspection accuracy is improved. Imaging data is acquired by transmitting radiation through a welded portion of the pipe to be inspected. Processing of associating determination data indicating a result of determining a defect of the welded portion of the pipe to be inspected based on a distribution of a transmission intensity of the radiation obtained from the imaging data with image data showing the distribution of the transmission intensity of the radiation is performed. As a result, through use of the imaging data, image data and determination data associated with the image data can be obtained, and the burden on the worker can be reduced.

  • Patent number: 11378830
Abstract: A projection-type display device includes a liquid crystal device, a transmittance measuring device configured to measure a transmittance of a liquid crystal panel, and a cooling device. After a result of measurement of the transmittance by the transmittance measuring device changes by 10% relative to a default value, a control unit controls the cooling device to raise temperatures of a liquid crystal layer to be not less than 60° C. and not more than a nematic-isotropic phase transition temperature Tni-20° C. This makes it possible to efficiently sweep impurities from a display region to the outside of the display region without heating the liquid crystal layer more than necessary. In addition, a liquid crystal volume ratio V1/V2 of a liquid crystal device for blue among a plurality of liquid crystal devices is greater than that of the other liquid crystal panels, where V1 is a volume of liquid crystal at the inner side of a seal material, and V2 is a volume of the liquid crystal layer in the display region.

  • Publication number: 20180267347
Abstract: In a liquid crystal device, a peripheral electrode is disposed in a peripheral region of a first substrate between a display region and a sealing member. Application of a proper voltage between the peripheral electrode and a common electrode causes ionic impurities to stay outside the display region. In the display region, an organic silane compound layer is disposed on a surface of a first alignment film, which is formed of an inorganic alignment film, adjacent to a liquid crystal layer, but the first alignment film and the organic silane compound layer are not formed in a region overlapping the peripheral electrode in plan view. Thus, the surface of the first substrate adjacent to the liquid crystal layer has higher hydrophilicity at the region overlapping the peripheral electrode than at the display region.

  • Patent number: 8045301
Abstract: When an upper arm of U-phase has failed because of short-circuit, lower arms of V-phase and W-phase as the opposite arms are switching-operated. When only the lower arm of V-phase is turned on, a route of motor current passing through an IGBT element from a V-phase coil is formed, and therefore, the motor current returning to the short-circuited phase decreases. Further, by the switching operation of the arm opposite to the short-circuited arm, an AC current is induced in a motor generator. Therefore, it is possible to continuously drive the motor generator while preventing increase in the current passing through the short-circuited phase, without adding a new device structure. This ensures running of the vehicle in the limp mode.

  • Patent number: 6006738
Abstract: A method for cutting an ingot with a wire. The method includes the steps of moving a wire in a lengthwise direction and contacting an ingot with the moving wire. The method also includes the step of supplying an abrasive slurry containing cutting oil and abrasive particles having an average diameter of about 13 .mu.m to about 15 .mu.m to the ingot when the ingot and the wire are contacting. This results in the ingot being cut with the wire and abrasive particles.

  • Patent number: 5928175
Abstract: A medical corset according to the present invention includes a hip band portion composed of an elastic material for covering both the sacroiliac region and the hip joint region and a pair of femoral region holding portions coupled below the buttock portion of this hip band portion to be fixed on the thighs. When this corset is put on a body, the sacroiliac region and the hip joint region are compressed and protected by the hip band portion and a lame hip due to a trouble of these joints is lightened.

  • Patent number: 5893871
Abstract: A wrist band according to the present invention includes a band body which is fitted on the body in a freely fitted and removable manner to surround part of the body, and a projection provided on the surface of the band body on the side facing the body. When the wrist band is fitted around the wrist, the projection, formed like a lattice on its inner surface, abuts on the hand joint region. Then, the band body surrounds the entire wrist and the projection is pressed against the hand joint region by the elastic force of the band body. Thus, the projection pressed against the hand joint region provides an acupressure effect.

  • Patent number: 5792093
Abstract: A foot supporter body is formed into a cylindrical shape using cloth having excellent elasticity and it has an approximately X-shaped acupressure projection on its inner side including first to fourth linear ribs extending in four directions from the center. The acupressure projection is formed in a symmetrical shape on the right and left sides of the center. When this foot supporter is fitted on the foot in the region somewhat back from the base region of the toes, the acupressure projection stimulates the surface of the foot to produce the effect of treating hallux valgus and the like and reducing the pain in the sole of foot caused by the this problem.

  • Patent number: 5635117
Abstract: An injection molded product including a plurality of internal cavities is produced by, after having injected a molten resin material into the molding cavity, injecting an inert gas with a gas pressure gradually increasing into the resin material through gas injection nozzles, which are in contact with the resin material to form the respective internal cavities inside the molten resin material. After removing the gas injection nozzles from the resin material for discharging of the inert gas directly from the resin material, any one of the gas injection nozzles, whose temperature during injection of the inert gas was lower than a predetermined temperature level, is judged to be clogged and the gas injection nozzle is cleaned by being blown out with high pressure gas.

  • Patent number: 5174933
Abstract: A cavity pressure is sequentially changed, by relatively displacing two mold dies forming a mold cavity, to a molding presure at which a product is molded in the mold cavity, a coating pressure lower than the molding pressure at which fluidized thermosetting plastic material is injected to form a coating layer, a curing pressure between the coating pressure and molding pressure at which the coating layer is cured, and a finishing pressure between the coating pressure and curing pressure at which the coating layer thermosets. The changing of the cavity pressure to the coating pressure is initiated a predetermined time later than a termination of a drop in pressure from the molding pressure due to shrinkage of the product. The changing of the cavity pressure to the curing pressure is initiated at a peak of an increase in relative displacement between the two mold dies caused by injecting a fluidized thermosetting plastic material in the mold cavity.
