  • Patent number: 9464612
Abstract: An object of the present invention is to provide a fuel injection valve that is made superior in atomization performance by preventing an influence of minute deformation occurring when an orifice plate is assembled to a nozzle body, thereby reducing fuel leakage from a swirling passage to increase the strength of a swirl flow. The valve includes a valve body openable and closable to jet fuel; a nozzle body having a valve seat surface capable of coming into contact with the valve body to block the jet of fuel; and an orifice plate disposed downstream of the valve seat surface and having a plurality of fuel injection holes adapted to jet swirl fuel. • Patent number: 5825591
Abstract: The present invention relates to a magnetic disk unit of a high memory capacity wherein a magnetic head and a magnetic disk with a lubricant layer formed on the surface thereof are allowed to perform a relative motion in a mutually contacted state to write and read out information of a high recording density, and the invention is also concerned with the shape and material of the magnetic head suitable for a continual sliding motion of the head on the magnetic disk surface, as well as the lubricant layer formed on the disk surface. According to the present invention, the magnetic head, which has a slider surface of a predetermined curvature, is supported by an arm through a spring and is pushed onto the magnetic disk surface with the lubricant layer formed thereon, then with rotation of the magnetic disk, the lubricant layer liquefies and information is recorded or read out in a contacted state of the head and the disk.

  • Patent number: 5680285
Abstract: There is disclosed a magnetic disk having a surface shape so designed as to satisfy flying and sliding characteristics in CSS and to avoid head adhesion even in a high-density recording. The surface shape of the contact surface of the magnetic disk for contact with a sliding surface of a magnetic head plays a very important role in the magnetic disk characteristics such as the head flying characteristics, the head adhesion and the CSS characteristics, and it has been found that a three-dimensional load ratio BR5 (0.5% to 10%) and a symmetric property Rsk (0.5 to 2) of a cross-section curve representing depressions and projections on the surface are essential as items of evaluation of this surface shape. For example, the surface shape of an aluminum alloy disk plated with Ni-P is processed in such a manner that the load ratio of the three-dimensional load ratio BR5 is 0.5% to 10% and that the symmetric property Rsk of the cross-sectional shape of this surface is 0.5 to 2.

  • Patent number: 5364655
Abstract: A thin plate such as a magnetic disk substrate is rotatably placed in a hole of a carrier provided between upper and lower surface plates forming a dynamic pressure producing surface in a temperature-controlled polishing liquid. When the number of revolutions of the surface plates increases, the dynamic pressure effect of the polishing agent is produced between the surface-plate surface and the substrate surface so that the substrate is polished in the non-contact state with the surface plate. The substrate surface is polished by fine free abrasive grains in the polishing liquid flowing between the surface plate and the substrate to provide a high plane degree to which surface precision of the surface plate is transferred. The present invention makes employs a float polishing, and is particularly suit to surface polishing of a thin plate such as a magnetic disk substrate which resets a residual processed strain. A magnetic disk having an excellent surface state can be realized.

  • Patent number: 5353182
Abstract: A magnetic disk includes a non-magnetic substrate with a surface processed layer having fine irregularities formed at least on a main surface thereof, and at least a thin film magnetic film and a protective film formed in that order on the non-magnetic substrate in such a manner that the fine irregularities are duplicated thereof. The surface of the surface processed layer of the non-magnetic substrate has protrusions whose surfaces are made flat and a configuration which exhibits a three-dimensional bearing curve in which the bearing ratio at a section taken at a depth from the top of the surface which corresponds to the portion of the top portion deformed by the head load during the contact start-stops drive is between 0.1% and 10%. The protrusions formed on the surface processed layer have a height ranging from several nm to several tens of nm. The bearing ratio is a value obtained at a depth of 5 to 10 nm from the top of the protrusions.
