  • Patent number: 6156072
Abstract: This invention relates to a method of manufacturing a fabric for ink jet printing and to an ink jet printing method for imparting to the fabric a clear and sharp image free from ink oozing in ink jet printing. Specifically, it relates to a method of manufacturing a fabric for ink jet printing which is characterized in that an aqueous treatment solution having a water-insoluble solvent dispersed or emulsified in an aqueous polymer solution is imparted to the fabric and dried; and to an ink jet printing method characterized in that the ink jet printing is made with the ink jet printing fabric used and that after developing, the pretreatment agent is removed by washing the fabric.

  • Patent number: 5370929
Abstract: A fiber of a polyester, in which 80% or more of the repeating units are composed of ethylene terephthalate, characterized in that it satisfies the following inequalities:0.16<tan .delta..sub.max <0.22 1115<T.sub.max <140 2D.sub.100 <-3.79.times.d.sup.1/2 +91 3D.sub.130 >-11.36.times.d.sup.1/2 +58 4as well as a process for the production and dyeing of a fibrous structure of the polyester fiber.According to the present invention, especially in deep color dyeing at a high temperature, the degree of dye exhaustion is improved, and the utilization efficiency of the dye is enhanced, and moreover, especially in an extremely fine fiber yarn, a polyester fibrous structure having a concentration of a color shade equal to that of an ordinary yarn, which has never been obtained by the conventional process can be provided. In addition, there can be provided a polyester fiber and a fibrous structure thereof that are excellent in coloring properties and color fastness and can be used for various purposes.

  • Patent number: 4786288
Abstract: The present invention relates to an ink applying method for obtaining desired sharp patterns while preventing bleeding and an ink composition therefor, in applying a low viscosity liquid to a polymer product such as fabric in the form of droplets according to the ink jet or spray process. As a treating solution there is used a solution incorporating a water-soluble or water-dispersible material which contains --OSO.sub.3 M group or --SO.sub.3 M group as a hydrophilic group in which M is a monovalent metal, ammonium or amine, and a fiber structure is pretreated with a chemical for coagulating the said hydrophilic group, whereby good bleeding preventing effect and deep shading effect even against markedly bleeding fiber structures such as thin fabrics as well as level dyeing effect of colored portions can be attained without impairing the injection characteristic. Sharp patterns equal or superior to conventional prints can be obtained.
