  • Patent number: 4678571
Abstract: A water purifier has a deodorization tank for removing ions and odorants by adsorption from running water and a mesh filter for removing dust. The mesh filter is arranged at a water entrance of the deodorization tank. The deodorization tank contains an anti-bacterial membrane having a function of imparting an antibacterial activity to the water by supplying mineral ions to the running water and thereby alkalifying the water. The deodorization tank also has a water exit which is associated with a mineral supply filter for supplying a mineral component to the running water. The mineral supply filter is prepared by molding a powder obtained by adhering a material such as soda glass to the surface of heat-decomposed calcium carbonate.

  • Patent number: 4572868
Abstract: An anti-corrosive sealing tape comprising a first layer which exhibits conductivity and is prepared by adding fine zinc powder, magnesium oxide and graphite powder to a rubber base; e.g., a butyl rubber containing curing agents and a second layer which plays a role of reinforcing the first layer with imparting waterproofing or thermal insulating properties thereto. This tape will protect metal pipes or structural members against corrosion when wrapped around them.

  • Patent number: 4433093
Abstract: Occurence of crevice corrosion on metal surfaces in crevices is prevented by providing an anti-crevice corrosion sealant which comprises a rubbery substrate containing 5-350% by weight of fine zinc powder, 20-100% by weight of magnesium oxide, and 20-200% by weight of electrostatically charged fine graphite powder, each on the basis of the rubbery substrate, in the crevices between parts of stainless steel articles or aluminum alloy articles.

  • Patent number: 4171297
Abstract: Anti-crevice corrosion sealants for metals obtained by adding a mixture of zinc powder and dicyclohexylammonium nitrite powder bound by a vinyl silane coupling agent to a film-forming polystyrene dissolved in a solvent can restrain crevice corrosion occurring at crevices or jointed interior surfaces by filling the sealants into a fine crevice formed between the elements of metal machinery and tools or onto the jointed interior surface of the elements.

  • Patent number: 4129337
Abstract: To prevent erosion-corrosion of capsules moving by means of a fluid through a pipe line, straight chain, macromolecular materials are deposited on the surfaces of capsules before introduction into the pipe line, a corrosion inhibitor is added to the fluid, and said corrosion inhibitor of higher concentration is deposited to the capsules before a temporary exposure to the atmosphere.
