  • Patent number: 7011488
Abstract: A slide arm for a work implement is provided, which is simply structured to obtain improved assembling precision thereby ensuring smooth operation. To this end, the slide arm is such that a plurality of tubular structural bodies (i.e., outer and inner tubes), each of which is formed by bending a one-piece plate into a shape having a substantially triangular cross-section and circular vertex portions, are telescoped one within the other with sliding members (i.e., plain bearing units and slide block pieces) interposed between them at the vertex portions and such that a sliding mechanism is disposed for sliding the tubular structural bodies.

  • Publication number: 20040011115
Abstract: The method of bending the long length of the member and a bending apparatus which are capable of restraining the occurrence of wrinkles in flanges of the long length of the member, preventing free end sides of the flanges from buckling, and setting and taking out the long length of the member easily in bending a long length of a member in the longitudinal direction, which is approximately L-shaped or U-shaped in cross section and has a platelike bottom portion and flanges installed in a standing manner at the end of the platelike bottom portion, it is to provide.

  • Patent number: 6637111
Abstract: A boom body comprises a boom front member, a boom intermediate member and a boom rear member. An arm-connection bracket is jointed to the boom front member and a vehicle body-mounting bracket is jointed to the boom rear member, thereby forming a boom. With this structure, a cross section of the boom body is less prone to be deformed and therefore, the plate thickness can be reduced, the rigidity of the boom body can be increased without mounting a cross section restraint material and the cross section of the boom is not deformed. Therefore, it is possible to reduce the boom in weight.

  • Publication number: 20030126772
Abstract: A member constituting a support-connecting portion with another support structural member is a cast member, and the cast member is integrally built up with a long member formed of a plate material so as to avoid stress concentration. In a long structural member for equipment including a connecting structural portion at a proximal portion, a proximal constitutive portion (6) including a boss (7) and a bracket (8), which are a connecting support portion at the proximal portion, is integrally formed of cast steel. The cast steel proximal constitutive portion (6) is connected and built up with a steel long portion (2) at a connected portion, and thereafter, are integrally welded together.

  • Patent number: 6536652
Abstract: An arm body of a working machine has a hollow and triangular cross-section. A bucket-connection bracket is jointed to one longitudinal end of an arm body, and an arm cylinder bracket is jointed to another longitudinal end of the arm body, thereby forming an arm. With the triangular cross-sectional structure, the arm body is less prone to deformation under the stress of a load. The improved triangular cross-sectional structure permits the plate thickness of the arm body to be reduced, and the rigidity of the arm body to be increased without mounting a cross-section restraint material in the arm body. The cross-section of the boom will not deform even though the plate thickness is reduced. Therefore, it is possible to reduce the weight of the boom and still prevent deformation of the boom under heavy load.
