  • Patent number: 4931755
Abstract: A surface-acoustic-wave device includes a surface-acoustic-wave filter with a capacitance connected in parallel between its input and output leads. The capacitance improves the attenuation characteristic of the device on the high-frequency side of the center frequency.

  • Patent number: 4817041
Abstract: An electronic cash register is disclosed that is operable with a change discharger that discharges a plurality of unit amounts of money. The electronic cash register includes a RAM, in which a minimum unit amount of money to be paid back by an operator to a customer is stored. After input by the operator of data relating to purchased commodities as well as data related to the amount tendered by the customer, a CPU calculates the total amount of change to be dispensed to the customer. The CPU further calculates, based on the total amount of change and the minimum unit amount of money to be paid by the operator, the portion of the total change that should be dispensed by the change discharger and the amount to be dispensed by the operator. The amount to be dispensed by the operator is displayed on an indicator, thereby alleviating the necessity of the operator to mentally calculate the difference between the total amount of change to be dispensed and the amount dispensed by the change discharger.

  • Patent number: 4688174
Abstract: An electronic cash register having a plurality of keys arranged on a key board can provide optionally predetermined key functions to the plurality of keys. The cash register comprises an indicator for successively indicating designations of keys at least necessary for setting key positions. When the key designations are indicated on the indicator, optional keys on a key board are actuated, and then, key codes of the actuated keys are set as key codes corresponding to function codes of the indicated key designations, so that keys at least necessary for setting key positions are set. Thereafter, function codes corresponding to key codes of the respective keys are set by using the set keys.

  • Patent number: 4649357
Abstract: A surface-acoustic-wave filter is of a multi-transducer arrangement including a plurality of input interdigital transducers and a plurality of output interdigital transducers. These input and output transducers are alternately and parallelly disposed on a piezo-electric substrate so as to be spaced intercentral distances l.sub.1 through l.sub.n apart. When one of the intercentral distances is a reference distance l.sub.1, the respective intercentral distances l.sub.1 through l.sub.n satisfies the following relationships:l.sub.1 =m.sub.1 .multidot..lambda., l.sub.2 =l.sub.1+ m.sub.2 .multidot..lambda., l.sub.3 =l.sub.1 +m.sub.3 .multidot..lambda., . . . l.sub.n =l.sub.1 +m.sub.n .multidot..lambda.where m.sub.1 is an arbitrary positive real number, m.sub.2 through m.sub.n are respectively arbitrary integers (0, .+-.1, .+-.2, . . . ), and .lambda. is a wavelength of the surface-acoustic-wave.

  • Patent number: 4406964
Abstract: An acoustic surface wave transducer with a transmission interdigital electrode (2A) and a reception interdigital electrode (2B in FIG. 10A-D) on a piezoelectric surface (1) has been improved by reducing inband dispersion of frequency characteristics by providing an edge effect canceler (k.sub.1), which cancels an undesired surface wave (E-a, E-b) generated at the external edge of the extreme end finger of the interdigital electrodes. Said edge effect canceler is constructed so that the length of the extreme end finger (11a) of the interdigital electrode (10, 20 in FIG.5A) is half of the length of the second extreme end finger (12a) of said interdigital electrode, and the spacing between said extreme end finger and the second extreme end finger is 1/2 wavelength of the acoustic surface Wave.

  • Patent number: 4360872
Abstract: An electronic cash register system having a plurality of electronic cash registers which are connected to a common bus and assignable to a plurality of operators given respective operator codes,at least one of said cash registers comprising a customer number storage means for storing customer numbers and the data relating to merchandise and corresponding to the respective customer numbers for each of the operator codes, each of said cash registers further comprising: mode setting means for setting the cash register into registration mode or a liquidation mode; input means for entering data into the cash register; means operative in the registration mode to cause the customer number storage means corresponding to an operator code to store the customer number and the corresponding merchandise data entered through the input means; and means operative in the liquidation mode to read out the stored merchandise data corresponding to a customer number from the customer number storage means so as to perform a liquidat
