  • Patent number: 10989989
Abstract: An image pickup apparatus that can store a display device in an apparatus body and that prevents snap fit connection from releasing in a pulled-out state where the display device is pulled out while keeping ease of assembly in manufacturing. The image pickup apparatus includes a first barrel, a second barrel that is connected to the first barrel and achieves a stored state and the pulled-out state of the display device by relatively moving with respect to the first barrel, and a third barrel that is connected to the second barrel by snap fit connection. The first barrel has a fastening part at its end of connection with the second barrel so that the fastening part suppresses release of the snap fit connection in the pulled-out state and does not suppress the release of the snap fit connection in the stored state.

  • Publication number: 20200391472
Abstract: A binding apparatus includes a pair of pressing members to sandwich and press a sheet bundle to bind the sheet bundle, a rotator to rotate to periodically separate and contact the pressing members with each other, a detector to detect whether the rotator is between a first position at which the pressing members are separated from each other and a second position downstream from the first position in a forward rotation direction of the rotator, and control circuitry. The second position is upstream in the forward rotation direction from a peak position at which a pressing force between the pressing members is maximum. The control circuitry is configured to rotate the rotator in a reverse direction to the forward rotation direction to move the rotator to the first position when the detector detects that the rotator is between the first position and the second position in the forward rotation direction.

  • Patent number: 10807827
Abstract: A sheet processing device is for binding sheets together. The sheet processing device includes binding units differing from each other in maximum sheet count, the maximum sheet count being a maximum number of sheets that can be bound at a time; a sheet tray configured to hold sheets until all to-be-bound sheets are placed therein, the number of the to-be-bound sheets being a largest one of the maximum sheet counts of the binding units or smaller; and a stacked-sheet-count limiting unit situated in a thickness direction of the sheets held in the sheet tray. The stacked-sheet-count limiting unit is configured to limit the number of sheets held in the sheet tray by varying a distance from a sheet support surface of the sheet tray on which the sheets are placed, depending on one of the binding units by which the sheets held in the sheet tray are to be bound.
