  • Publication number: 20020191044
Abstract: A stable operation is realized without any malfunction of a driver even under a voltage condition that a supplied voltage is 3.3 V or lower. For this purpose, in an ink-jet printhead having an ink orifice for discharging ink, a plurality of heat generation elements for generating heat energy used to discharge ink, and an ink channel which incorporates the heat generation elements and communicates with the ink orifice, a driver for driving the heat generation elements, and a logic circuit for controlling the driver are formed on a single board. The gate oxide film thickness of an enhancement NMOS transistor which forms the driver is larger than that of an enhancement NMOS transistor which forms the logic circuit.

  • Publication number: 20020158930
Abstract: Disclosed is a printing apparatus for performing printing on a printing medium, based upon information transmitted from an external device, by causing a carriage, on which a printhead is mounted, to scan across the printing medium. The printhead includes any one of voltage detecting means (108, 109, 110) for detecting at least one voltage among voltages at a node between a first power-supply wire (104) and a monitor resistor element (103), a node between the monitor resistor element and a driving element (102), and a node between the driving element and a second power-supply wire (105); and any one of current application means (901, 902, 903) for applying current to at least one of the nodes. At least one resistance is obtained, based upon applied current or detected voltage, from among resistance of the first and second power-supply wires, resistance of the monitor resistor element and resistance of the driving element, and the printhead is controlled based upon the resistance obtained.

  • Patent number: 6407620
Abstract: In a current mirror circuit having different output ratios or outputting a plurality of output currents, the present invention provides a current mirror circuit which suppresses the influence of an early effect of a transistor serving as a reference and achieves an effect of base current compensation. In the current mirror circuit utilizing a common base transistor for an output stage, the base current of the common base transistor for the output stage is subtracted from the sum of the base current of a first transistor inputting a reference current and the base current of a second transistor where the base of the first transistor and the base of the second transistor are commonly connected. The resultant current is added to a current output terminal at the same current ratio as an input/output current ratio of the current mirror circuit and output.

  • Publication number: 20020036781
Abstract: In a printhead in which a plurality of printing elements arranged in a predetermined direction and a driving circuit for driving the printing elements are formed on a single substrate, the printing elements are classified into a plurality of groups. A selection circuit for selecting a printing element to be driven in each group, and data supply circuits for supplying driving data to the driving circuit for driving each printing element through any of a plurality of paths are arranged on the substrate. This realizes high-speed operation while suppressing increases in wiring length and substrate area even upon an increase in the number of printing elements and reducing the cost and generation of malfunctions.

  • Publication number: 20010045968
Abstract: A printing apparatus having a plurality of printing elements connected to a common power supply, each printing element is provided with a switching element connected to the printing element in series for controlling driving of the printing element with a voltage applied to a control terminal; a constant voltage source using the power supply as a standard, and a voltage control circuit for controlling the terminal-to-terminal potential difference of the printing element to be equal to a voltage of the constant voltage source, when the printing element is driven, and when storage, driving signals to be supplied to each printing element are controlled so that energy amount consumed by each printing element is equal. Thereby a consumed energy amount in each printing element, that is, an energy amount generated at the time of driving becomes constant regardless of external conditions and environments of the printhead, resulting in high image quality storage.

  • Patent number: 6183235
Abstract: A precision injection molding apparatus is provided with servo mechanisms in various portions of the apparatus including a resin injection portion to provide precise feedback control of resin weighing, blending, and injection of weighed and blended resin into a die cavity between closed dies, a die opening and closing portion to provide precise feedback control for driving a movable die from a spaced position into a closed position relative to a fixed die to provide the die cavity, a gate cutting portion to provide precise feedback control of gate cutting, a molding ejecting portion to provide precise feedback control of ejecting a formed molding and a molding removing portion to provide precise feedback control for removing the molding from between opened dies. Because servo mechanisms are used, there is no variation in repetitive response accuracy of motion and speed of operation can be increased in terms of cycle speeds without loss of accuracy.

  • Patent number: 5815033
Abstract: The present invention is to provide an integrated circuit capable of reducing the substrate area, a variable filter adjusting method for the integrated circuit, and an electronic equipment using the integrated circuit, in which disorder of an external element and its temperature characteristic can be automatically corrected following the adjustment of disorder of the internal elements and their temperature characteristics by performing digital/analog conversion of a control signal to be input to a first adjustment unit for adjusting the disorder of internal elements of the integrated circuit and their temperature characteristics, so that the control signal can be input to a second adjustment unit as a reference signal of a digital/analog converter.

  • Patent number: 5599564
Abstract: An automatic stamper exchange device for effecting automatic stamper exchange to and from a mold of an injection molding apparatus includes a first stamper housing unit, a second housing unit, a stamper mounting and dismounting unit and a stamper supplying unit. A used-up stamper is housed in the first stamper housing unit, and a new stamper is housed in the second housing unit. The stamper mounting and dismounting unit dismounts the new stamper from the metal mold or mounts the used-up stamper on the metal mold. The stamper supplying unit houses the used-up stamper dismounted by the stamper mounting and dismounting unit in the first stamper housing unit or takes out the new stamper housed in the second stamper housing unit to supply it to the stamper mounting and dismounting unit.
