  • Patent number: 6470583
Abstract: A CCD laser displacement gauge is movable in three directions, that is, a vertical direction and two directions perpendicular to each other in a horizontal plane, and this gauge can be moved to a insulation displacement connecting center so as to detect a insulation displacement connecting height, the presence/absence of a wire, abnormal insulation displacement connection and a wire projecting amount. The insulation displacement connecting height, the wire presence/absence and the abnormal insulation displacement connection are detected by measuring a height of an upper surface of a wire sheath from a reference position at the position of the slot (at a middle position between two terminals if these terminals are juxtaposed). Whether or not the wire projecting amount is proper is determined by detecting the presence/absence of the wire at a position obtained by subtracting an absolute value of a tolerance from a normal projecting position.

  • Patent number: 5819621
Abstract: An electric cable guiding device includes a fixed guide block and a movable guide block. A projected round surface is formed in the fixed guide block, and an indented round surface is formed in the movable guide block. In addition, a groove is formed in the indented round surface. At the time of guiding an electric cable, the movable guide block is fitted in the fixed guide block. In this state, the indented round surface and the groove constitute an electric cable guide path. The electric cable is fed into the electric cable guide path by rollers. Consequently, the electric cable is guided in a U shape along the electric cable guide path. The front end of the electric cable drawn out of the electric cable guide path is clamped. Thereafter, the movable guide block is moved to an electric cable measuring position that is spaced apart from the fixed guide block by a predetermined distance. In this state, the electric cable is fed by a required length.

  • Patent number: 5570514
Abstract: There is disclosed a device and method for measuring a crimp height which eliminates the step of re-holding a wire to readily accomplish the application thereof to an automatic wiring assembly fabricating apparatus. The crimp height measuring device includes: a measuring base for placing thereon a crimp terminal of the wire conveyed in a predetermined wire conveying direction by a wire conveying device holding the wire with the crimp terminal projecting in a direction crosswise to the wire conveying direction; a clamp device adapted to displace to a fixing position allowing the crimp terminal to be clamped on the measuring base and to an open position allowing the crimp terminal to be conveyed in the wire conveying direction; and a control device for displacing the clamp device to the open position to allow the crimp terminal to be conveyed when the wire is conveyed.

  • Patent number: 4979292
Abstract: An apparatus and method for producing a filament harness which comprises feeding a plurality of strands in a downstream direction onto a support which receives the strands. There is a head which contacts the strands and a control means for causing relative motion between the support and the head to form the plurality of wires into a predetermined, desired pattern. In addition, the product produced by the method is also disclosed.
