Patent number: 9084997Abstract: There are provided a capsule and a chemical reaction cartridge capable of properly handling reagents and so forth. The capsule is formed by laminating two dome-shaped films together at the peripheries thereof. The films are formed by subjecting heat sealable films, to which aluminum vapor deposition is applied, to a drawing process. The films are made of a material (easy-peel material), which can be varied in seal strength by a heating temperature and are thermally welded together at an adhesion area at the peripheries thereof. Thereafter, contents such as reagents and so forth are filled up inside the capsule via a filling section.Type: GrantFiled: July 26, 2011Date of Patent: July 21, 2015Assignee: YOKOGAWA ELECTRIC CORPORATIONInventors: Takeo Tanaami, Hisao Katakura, Nobuyuki Kakuryu, Saya Satou

Publication number: 20140125981Abstract: A spectroscopic apparatus includes an optical system configured to transmit output light from a sample irradiated with irradiation light from a light source, a two-dimensional array light detector configured to photograph light transmitted through the optical system, and a control unit. The optical system includes a first optical device disposed between the sample and the two-dimensional array light detector, a second optical device disposed between the two-dimensional array light detector and the first optical device, and a variable band-pass filter disposed in at least one of spaces between the first optical device and the sample and between the second optical device and the two-dimensional array light detector. The control unit changes a light transmission wavelength band of the variable band-pass filter in accordance with a photographing timing of the two-dimensional array light detector.Type: ApplicationFiled: November 6, 2013Publication date: May 8, 2014Applicant: YOKOGAWA ELECTRIC CORPORATIONInventors: Mitsuhiro IGA, Takeo TANAAMI, Nobuyuki KAKURYU

Publication number: 20110318824Abstract: An end portion of a head has a recess having an inner shape corresponding to a dome shape of a well when the well is in an expanded state. The radius of curvature of the recess is larger than the radius of curvature of the dome shape of the well. Moreover, the depth of the recess is smaller than the height of the dome shape of the well. Therefore, the head first contacts the apex of the well, and the contact area gradually expands toward the outer periphery. At this time, a gap is generated between the head and the cartridge around the well. Thus, the air between the head and the well is expelled from around the well as the head is pressed against the well.Type: ApplicationFiled: May 31, 2011Publication date: December 29, 2011Applicant: YOKOGAWA ELECTRIC CORPORATIONInventors: Takeo Tanaami, Hisao Katakura, Nobuyuki Kakuryu

Publication number: 20100150783Abstract: A chemical reaction apparatus in which a chemical reaction of solutions is carried out by transferring the solutions includes moving units to seal or move the solutions in a flow passage or a plurality of chambers of a container by applying an external force to an elastic body of the container by moving on a surface of the elastic body while the moving units contact with the surface of the elastic body, the moving units being movable independently from each other with respect to a cartridge including the container which is at least partially structured with the elastic body, the container including the plurality of chambers to contain the solutions and the flow passage to connect the plurality of chambers, and a detection unit to detect a state of solution pool in the flow passage or the chamber.Type: ApplicationFiled: February 26, 2010Publication date: June 17, 2010Applicant: YOKOGAWA ELECTRIC CORPORATIONInventors: Muneki ARARAGI, Takeo TANAAMI, Nobuyuki KAKURYU, Masakatsu NOGUCHI
