  • Patent number: 7929169
Abstract: It is necessary to switch print settings and color processing tables to optimum ones in accordance with a type of sheet which is used in a printer. In the case of enabling a new sheet to be used, a setting can be easily added without newly forming a whole printer driver. Print set information regarding the new sheet is set into a media script and fetched into a media block via a compiler. Control is made so as to store the print set information from a media database API into a media database. When the new sheet is selected on a driver display screen, the media database is searched from the media database API and print data is formed on the basis of the print set information.

  • Patent number: 7808679
Abstract: A printing system performing marginless printing. The system includes a host device operable to send image data, and a recording device performs marginless recording based on the image data received from the host device. The system includes a setting unit setting the width of the recording medium, a changing unit changing scaling ratio of the image data based on the width of the recording medium. Furthermore the system includes a recording unit recording the image on the recording medium based on the image data with the changed scaling ratio. • Patent number: 6265853
Abstract: A power source unit for use in vehicle is disclosed that effectively transfers energy between two power sources. The power source unit includes a main power source connected to input terminals of a current control circuit, such as insulation type power transfer circuit. In addition, a terminal of the main power source is connected to an output terminal of the current control circuit. The other terminal of the main power source is connected to a terminal of a parallel connection of a secondary power source and an electric power unit. The other terminal of the parallel connection is connected with a second output terminal of the current control circuit. Hence, energy from the main power source is transferred to the parallel connection of the secondary power source and electric power unit under the control of the current control circuit.

  • Patent number: 5721930
Abstract: There is disclosed an electronic apparatus in which in the case where a resume is instructed from the user, a status of FDD is checked, and when the FDD is in the state in which it can be shifted to the resume, the resume is executed, and when it is impossible to shift to the resume, an alarm is generated to the user so as not to shift to the resume. The shift to the resume status is detected every stage and a record is stored into a memory every completion of each stage. When each stage is completed, it is regarded that the information stored at this stage can be broken, so that the power supply to a device is stopped. In case of executing a resuming operation, information is written back for only the device which needs the resuming operation in accordance with the recorded content. Thus, even when the resume is in an incomplete state, the apparatus can be again resumed to the former operating status.

  • Patent number: 5404564
Abstract: The present invention provides a data train generating system with no restriction on the number of data which can be generated at a high data rate by use of low-speed memory. A conditional mode may be used to change the data output sequence at an arbitrary time whereby the output is substantially uneffected by the operational speed of the memory used and the waiting time for the change to occur is reduced.

  • Patent number: 5355134
Abstract: The present invention provides a digital to analog converter circuit comprising a digital to analog converter portion for accepting digital inputs indicative of a signal level and for producing an analog output indicative of a difference in signal level between one digital input and a previous digital input. An integrator is coupled to the digital to analog converter portion for integrating the analog output thereby producing a substantially smooth waveform. The digital to analog converter portion may comprise a plurality of current source type digital to analog converters having a common output terminal and the integrator may comprise an integrating capacitor. In such an embodiment the output from the common output terminal is indicative of a signal level difference determined by at least two of the digital inputs.

  • Patent number: 5293080
Abstract: A test waveform generator comprises a storage unit (1a , 1b) for storing timing information; a timing generator unit (2a, 2b) to which the timing information is input from the storage unit and which is adapted to output a timing pulse at a predetermined time on the basis of the timing information; and a waveform generating unit (3, 4) to which the pulse from the timing generator unit is input and which is adapted to output a test waveform. The timing generator unit is arranged so that the timing of the timing pulse is set with either (1) a period clock signal (CLK) serving as a reference or (2) another timing pulse serving as a reference.

  • Patent number: 5289116
Abstract: An apparatus 1 for testing mixed signal electronic devices (i.e., devices, such as LSI devices, whose input/output signals include direct current signals, digital signals and analog signals, where the time relationship between the various input and output signals may be either synchronous or asynchronous) includes a master clock subsystem (MCLK-SS) 11, a subsystem group comprised of a digital master subsystem (DM-SS) 12, a digital slave subsystem (DS-SS) 13, a waveform generator subsystem (WG-SS) 14, a waveform digitizer subsystem (WD-SS) 15, a time measuring module (TMM) 16, and a direct current subsystem (DC-SS) 17, and an interfacing test head 18. The MCLK-SS 11 receives a master clock from a timing generator 21 or DSP 23 of the device under test (DUT) 186 and generates a first master clock MCLK1 and a second master clock MCLK2, each of which is synchronized with the master clock from the DUT.

  • Patent number: 5280195
Abstract: A timing generator having no dead time and capable of altering a timing at any time. A rough timing pulse generating means suitably specifies one of a plurality of input clock pulses to generate a rough timing pulse for a desired timing. A timing vernier delays the rough timing pulse for a suitable delay time to generate a minute timing pulse. In a compensating circuit, the minute timing pulse is input to a delay circuit having one input terminal and plural output terminals, and one of the outputs at the output terminals for delay is selected by a multiplexer. When the multiplexer selects an output whose delay time is not zero, a next pulse can be input from the timing vernier to the dead time compensating circuit so that no dead time occurs.

  • Patent number: 5016226
Abstract: In one embodiment of the invention, the selection of the number of the latches from which data is read can be changed dynamically during the generation of the data stream. The scanning of the latches can be stopped temporarily while the next set of data from the memory is stored in the latches, then resumed. For example, assume that n+1 number of banks are provided in the memory and that the selection of the number of the latches can be changed dynamically between n and n+1. Then, the possible length/period, N, of the data stream that can be generated would be:N=i*n+j*(n+1)where i and j are non-negative integers, and one of i or j is non-zero.In another embodiment of the present invention, the memory has m+n banks, and the latch group has m+n latches. The number of the latches from which data is read during each scanning cycle can be selected from the range n, n+1, . . . , n+m-1, n+m. Consequently, any data stream having a length or period which is a multiple of any of n, n+1, . . .
