  • Patent number: 11641056
Abstract: [Problems to be Solved] To provide a flight vehicle and a communication system which can relay communications between transmission and reception antennae that are located farther from each other by using antennae capable of receiving information transmitted from a transmission antenna located in a wider range than a range of a linear directed antenna can receive. [Solution] A flight vehicle 1 according to the present invention comprises one or more linear array antennae (antennae 4); and a controller 2 configured to be capable to execute: a process of receiving information by one or more of the antennae 4, a process of outwardly transmitting said information by one or more of the antennae 4. In the communication system C of the present invention, which includes said flight vehicle 1, the transmission antenna T1 and the reception antenna R1 differ from each other.

  • Patent number: 11385343
Abstract: A radar device capable of detecting a location of an object using a phased-array antenna capable of receiving a reflected wave from all directions includes one or more linear array antennae and a controller capable of transmitting of a wave T from one or more linear array antennae, and receiving a reflected wave R at the one or more linear array antennae. At least one linear array antennae is the same and/or is different from a linear array antenna that transmits the transmitting wave T, and the reflected wave R being generated by the transmitting wave T illuminating the object. A location of the object is estimated using time from transmission of transmitting wave T to reception of reflected wave R, and a direction of the transmitting wave and/or using a frequency of the transmitting wave and a frequency of the reflected wave, and the direction of the transmitting wave.

  • Patent number: 5666127
Abstract: An energy transmission arrangement is formed as a subarray panel which emits a microwave energy signal to a target location on the basis of a pilot signal received from the target location. The subarray panel includes a transmission antenna divided into a subarray having a plurality of antenna elements for transmission of the energy signal. The subarray panel further includes pilot signal receiving antennas and thus each subarray panel may function independently and may thus be made lighter and more compact.

  • Patent number: 5570102
Abstract: An energy receiving satellite has a curved outer surface on which a plurality of energy signal reception antenna elements are arranged. The satellite may also include a pilot signal generator and a plurality of pilot signal transmission antennas arranged at intervals around the curved outer surface of the satellite. The curved surface is composed of a plurality of curved panels which may be folded in an overlapping condition or unfolded such that the panels are disposed adjacently in a circular arrangement.

  • Patent number: 5400036
Abstract: An energy transmission arrangement emits a microwave energy signal to a target location on the basis of a pilot signal received from the target location. The arrangement includes a plurality of pilot antennas for receiving the pilot signal and a plurality of antenna elements for transmission of the energy signal. The pilot signal as received at a first pilot antenna is multiplied at a phase conjugation circuit and divided into a plurality of transmission signals corresponding to the plurality of antenna elements. A target direction is calculated based on a phase difference of the pilot signal as received at each of the other pilot antennas and a phase adjustment circuit is provided for adjusting the phases of each of the transmission signals on the basis of the calculated target direction.
