Abstract: Herbicidal compositions comprising as active ingredients a triazine derivative represented by general formula [I]: ##STR1## and compound represented by general formula [II]: ##STR2## By synergistic effects of active ingredients, the herbicidal compositions show a high herbicidal effect at low dosage and have such a wide range of herbicidal spectrum that the compositions exhibit their high herbicidal effect not only against broad-leaved weeds but also against Gramineae weeds, etc. The compositions have flexibility of treatment to exhibit effectiveness as compared to known herbicides for field crops and crops are free from injury.

Abstract: Imidazoline derivatives represented by the general formula: ##STR1## (wherein all the symbols are as defined in appended claims), a process for preparation of said derivatives, and a herbicide or a plant growth regulator containing said derivative as an active component are described. These derivatives are novel compounds, and the herbicide containing said derivative as an active component exhibits excellent herbicidal activity against various weeds without phytotoxicity on useful agricultural products. The plant growth regulator containing said derivatives as an active component exhibits excellent growth regulating activity against turf etc. without phytotoxicity thereon.

Abstract: N-(.alpha.,.alpha.-dialkylbenzyl)-phenylacetamide compounds represented by the following general formula: ##STR1## wherein each of X.sub.1 and X.sub.2 is a halogen atom, an alkyl group containing from 1 to 3 carbon atoms, an alkoxyl group containing from 1 to 3 carbon atoms or a hydrogen atom; R.sub.1 is an alkoxyl group containing from 1 to 3 carbon atoms or a hydrogen atom; R.sub.2 is an alkyl group containing from 1 to 3 carbon atoms, and alkoxyalkyl group containing from 2 to 6 carbon atoms, an allyl group or a hydrogen atom; each of R.sub.3 and R.sub.4 is an alkyl group containing from 1 to 4 carbon atoms; and each of m and n is an integer of 1-3. This invention also provides herbicidal compositions comprising at least one of said compounds and a carrier.

Abstract: N-(.alpha.,.alpha.-dimethylbenzyl)-phenylacetamide compounds represented by the following general formula: ##STR1## wherein X is a chlorine atom or a bromine atom. This invention also provides herbicidal compositions comprising at least one of said compounds and a herbicidal carrier.

This invention also provides herbicidal compositions comprising at least one of said compounds and a carrier.
