Patent number: 5562353Abstract: A plurality of types of format data items are stored in a format storage section according to the width of a label tape and the number of lines of print data. A tape width sensing section senses the width of the label tape. A control section senses the number of lines of print data. The control section reads from the format storage section a plurality of formats corresponding to the sensed label tape width and the number of lines of print data sensed, and displays them on a display section. The user selects a suitable one from the plurality of formats displayed. The control section causes a printing section to print the entered data on the label tape according to the selected format.Type: GrantFiled: October 31, 1994Date of Patent: October 8, 1996Assignee: Casio Computer Co., Ltd.Inventors: Yuji Handa, Nobuyuki Mochinaga, Hiroki Kim

Patent number: 5079639Abstract: A handy copier comprising a case, an image sensor located in the case, a memory also located in the case, and a printer incorporated in the case. As the case is moved on an original, the image sensor reads the image data formed on the original, and the image data is stored into the memory. As the case is moved on a printing medium, the printer prints the image data stored in the memory, on the printing medium. The memory address of the memory, which is being accessed when the case is stopped for a predetermined period during the data-reading operation, is stored in an address memory incorporated in the case. This address separate one image date item from the next. Hence, image data items continuously read from the original are read from the memory, one by one, and are printed on the printing medium, one by one. Also, even if the case is stopped for the predetermined period, the printer is prepared to print the next image data item.Type: GrantFiled: February 5, 1990Date of Patent: January 7, 1992Assignee: Casio Computer Co., Ltd.Inventor: Nobuyuki Mochinaga

Patent number: 5024541Abstract: A manually operable sweeping-type compact printer apparatus has an input section, a display section, an electric circuit section, and a printer unit. All these components are incorporated in a housing. The printer unit includes a print head, rollers, an encoder, and a ribbon take-up device--all attached to a chassis which is fixed within the housing. When an operator holds the printer apparatus and moves it across a recording medium, while keeping the rollers and the print head in contact with the medium, the print head prints data on the recording medium.Type: GrantFiled: January 30, 1990Date of Patent: June 18, 1991Assignee: Casio Computer Co., Ltd.Inventors: Shuya Tsukada, Nobuyuki Mochinaga, Yasuo Kanoe

Patent number: 4949283Abstract: A manually sweepable printer stores data transferred from a data forming apparatus such as a wordprocessor in a memory. The printer is placed on printing paper and manually swept to sequentially print the data stored in the memory. The manually sweepable printer separately receives printing data and print control data from the data forming apparatus and separately stores the received data. In the printing operation, the printing data is printed on the basis of the print control data.Type: GrantFiled: December 15, 1989Date of Patent: August 14, 1990Assignee: Casio Computer Co., Ltd.Inventors: Kazuki Yamauchi, Atsushi Sagisaka, Nobuyuki Mochinaga

Patent number: 4751741Abstract: A pen-type character recognition apparatus includes an input data detecting section for detecting input character data as data representing a certain character according to a change in pressure applied to a tip element of a pen. A data processing section standardizes the output data from the input data detecting section by compressing the output data to a predetermined number of data for the character, so as to generate corresponding standardized data. A data registering section registers in advance selected standardized data as standard pattern data for corresponding to the predetermined input character data when a character is written with the pen tip element, and an input character recognizing section recognizes the character represented by the input character data by comparing the standardized data generated from the data processing section with the data registered in advance in the data registering section.Type: GrantFiled: July 11, 1985Date of Patent: June 14, 1988Assignee: Casio Computer Co., Ltd.Inventors: Nobuyuki Mochinaga, Takashi Moto, Yoshio Ogata
