  • Patent number: 11789109
Abstract: A first estimation unit estimates, based on pieces of information on the reception strength acquired by an acquisition unit in a first time period, a location of a transmitter. A first determination unit determines, based on the location of the transmitter estimated by the first estimation unit, an area in which the transmitter is present. A second estimation unit estimates, based on pieces of information on the reception strength acquired in a second time period, the location of the transmitter. A second determination unit determines, based on the location of the transmitter estimated by the second estimation unit, the area in which the transmitter is present. A correction unit corrects, when a determination result by the first determination unit is different from a determination result by the second determination unit, the determination result by the first determination unit to the determination result by the second determination unit.

  • Patent number: 11782123
Abstract: An area determination system includes a decision unit, a calculation unit, and a determination unit. The decision unit decides, based on a strength of a radio signal transmitted from a transmitter and received by a receiver, a location of the transmitter. The calculation unit calculates a presence determination value. The presence determination value is based on a number of times that the location of the transmitter is determined to be in a presence determination region during a presence determination time period. The presence determination region corresponds to a target area. The determination unit, when a presence condition is satisfied, determine that the transmitter is in the target area. The presence condition is that a state where the presence determination value is greater than or equal to a presence threshold continues for a presence determination time.

  • Patent number: 7268780
Abstract: A rapid simulation is made to create an illuminated scene of object with a simplified arithmetic of calculating an intended color change effect. The object illuminated with lighting fixtures are divided into discrete elements each having a lamp-by-element table defining lamp color component values of each of the influencing lighting fixtures. In accordance with the changes in the output characteristic and/or the position of the lighting fixture, it is determined which one or ones of the discrete elements are influenced by the changes. Then, the lamp-by-element tables only associated with thus determined elements are picked up in order to modify the color component values as a function of the changing output characteristic and the position of the influencing lighting fixture. The resulting color components at each discrete element are then processed to provide a color distribution over the array of the elements for rendering the view of the illuminated scene.

  • Patent number: 7131733
Abstract: A method for creating brightness filters. The brightness filters are used in a projection system in which divided images are projected on a curved screen from a plurality of projectors with adjacent divided images overlapped partially, in order to adjust brightness of the divided images beforehand so that brightness of overlapping areas between the divided images is in harmony with brightness of non-over-lapping areas. The feature of the present invention resides in that the method includes a step of allocating one of the divided images to a reference image and allocating each of the adjacent divided images to a peripheral image, setting a view point that is coincident with the projection point of the reference image, and obtaining a 2-dimensional reference area of the reference image that is rendered on the screen model and is viewed from the view point.
